Celebrity Athletes Compete For Charity In Ninja Warrior Germany

On January 3, 2025, twelve stars will battle obstacles to raise funds for the RTL Foundation.

Ninja Warrior Germany is set to feature its star-studded edition with the 'Promi-Special' airing on January 3, 2025, at 20:15 Uhr. This exciting event, broadcasted live on RTL, brings together twelve prominent German athletes who will compete not only for glory but also for charity, aiming to collect donations for the RTL Foundation's 'Wir helfen Kindern'.

The competition will be divided among three dynamic teams: Team Buschi, Team Köppi, and Team Wonti. Each team is composed of former champions from various sports fields, each bringing their unique skills to the challenging obstacle courses they will face.

Participantes of Team Buschi include Marcel Nguyen, former gymnast turned entrepreneur, along with reality TV contestant Mike Heiter, ex-kickboxer and television host Christine Theiss, and former ski jumper Martin Schmitt. Team Köppi comprises the former artistic gymnast Fabian Hambüchen, reality star Filip Pavlovic, football player Mona Stevens, and singer Vincent Gross. Lastly, Team Wonti features former gymnast Philipp Boy, ex-football professional Thorsten Legat, stuntwoman and actress Marie Mouroum, and ex-ski jumper Sven Hannawald.

The dynamic contest is structured to maximize donations, as the celebrities will engage in exciting rounds over the course of several hours. The first round of obstacles awards the teams €500 for each challenge conquered, with added bonuses for top performances. The second round ups this with €1,000 per obstacle plus €2,000 for the best run during each challenge.

One of the standout elements of the competition is the Endlos Himmelsleiter, or Endless Sky Ladder, which serves as the finale challenge. The victorious team will not only win honor but also contribute €15,000 to their charity for their team's success, significantly boosting their overall total.

Across the evening, viewers will witness nail-biting sequences as these athletic celebrities navigate complex stages including The Blitz Slide, The Climbing Boxes, Double Sway Ladders, and the Water Walls. The event aims to entertain audiences, as well as raise significant funds for children's welfare.

Those unable to catch the live broadcast can still enjoy the event later through the RTL-Mediathek online platform, where previously aired shows can be streamed on-demand.

With each celebrity competing vigorously, the 'Ninja Warrior Germany - Promi-Special' stands as not just entertainment but also emphasizes the importance of charity and community support, urging viewers to contribute where they can for children's needs.
