Cecilie Beck And Abdel Aziz Mahmoud Shine On TV 2's Show

The annual recap features heartfelt reunions and memorable moments from the past year.

TV 2’s annual show "De største øjeblikke" promises to deliver memorable highlights and festive celebrations as it looks back on the past year, featuring host Cecilie Beck alongside Abdel Aziz Mahmoud.

The show, which airs on December 30 at 20:00, has become synonymous with end-of-year reflections, showcasing not only notable events but also providing glimpses of the personal lives of its hosts and guests.

Cecilie Beck, once again commanding the show, was supported by her two daughters, 27-year-old Astrid and 23-year-old Frida, who were thrilled to be present during the recordings held last December. “My sister studies Television and Media Production at DMJX,” shared Frida with BILLED-BLADET. “I’m studying Food and Nutrition at Frederiksberg, so it’s quite different from what my mom does.” The family, especially excited, planned to celebrate Christmas and New Year under warm skies in Puerto Rico.

Abdel Aziz Mahmoud returns to the show after causing quite the stir last year with his unique attire – what resembled pajamas – which drew both praise and criticism from viewers. "I think I’ll get fewer complaints this year," he commented, after opting for more traditional yet stylish attire, complete with a classic black blazer and matching trousers, accented with a notable necklace created for him by designer Ninna York. "It’s always nerve-wracking to host, but it was more fun this time, and it’s comforting to do it alongside Cecilie," he added.

Representing the evening were several distinguished guests, among them news anchor Miriam Zesler, who made appearances with her youngest daughter Nola, 12. It was noted as a rare event as they posed together on the red carpet. Zesler reflected on the past year, remarking on the beautiful journeys and vacations she cherished, and highlighted the significance of her children excelling academically.

Simi Jan, another familiar face, attended the show with her eldest son, Adam, offering fans their first public glimpse of her child. Dressed smartly for the occasion, Adam was involved during the event, responding to football inquiries posed by Mahmoud. "He always looks sharp when he’s out with me," Jan said with delight. Her biggest moment of the year, she shared, was celebrating Adam’s 10th birthday, marking the occasion with heartfelt festivities surrounded by family and friends.

A standout feature of the night was undoubtedly Cecilie Beck’s glamorous appearance, drawing attention for her exquisite light blue, shimmering mermaid gown by American designer Norma Kamali. "There’s a bit of mermaid and robot about it," Beck said, adding humorously about her stylist’s choice. "I simply chose it from among the three or four dresses she presented to me!"

This year’s edition of "De største øjeblikke" will also tackle significant world events, including the transition of the Danish crown and the American presidential election, aimed at providing audiences with both entertainment and enlightenment about key happenings. Viewers can expect performances from popular Danish artists like Mumle, Malte Ebert, Guldimund, and Kalaset, contributing to the celebratory tone of the program.

Set to air on December 30 at 20:00, with encore showings the following day, "De største øjeblikke" continues to hold its place as one of Denmark's favorite year-end television traditions, blending personal anecdotes and major news highlights to create a captivating viewing experience.
