On December 16, fans of Japanese music can tune in to TBS at 18:30 for the much-anticipated CDTV Live! Christmas Special. This year, the show will feature 37 popular artists and is set to be broadcast live for four and a half hours, promising to deliver both contemporary hits and treasured holiday classics.
The official lineup was revealed on the program's website, showcasing the talent involved, including the highly popular groups Snow Man and SixTONES. Snow Man will perform their hits "EMPIRE" and "Dangerholic," whereas SixTONES will deliver exciting renditions of "GONG" and "音色." Mrs. GREEN APPLE, known for their significant summer success, will perform full versions of their hits "ライラック" and "familie." Intriguingly, there will also be a special collaboration between Aqua Timez and Mrs. GREEN APPLE's vocalist, 大森元貴, as they sing the nostalgic song "決意の朝に" together for the first time on television.
The event will begin with DA PUMP featuring Shigekix kicking off the evening at 18:30 with their upbeat track "Pump It Up! feat. TAKUMA THE GREAT." Other notable performances throughout the evening include BE:FIRST's "Blissful," and 三浦大知 will present his song "心拍音." Following them are収録の大野雄大 and花村想太 of Da-iCE with their rendition of the lovely holiday track "クリスマスソング" (back number). Little Glee Monster will also perform two holiday classics: "Silent Night" and "奇跡を望むなら… Xmas story (JUJU)."
From 20:00 onwards, the excitement continues with ILLIT performing "Cherish (My Love)" and JO1 presenting their hit "Love seeker." Adding to the mix, SixTONES will keep the momentum going with their hits "GONG" and "音色," closing out the hour alongside SPYAIR's delightful track "オレンジ." There will be more special collaborations as groups like Aぇ! group will perform "《A》BEGINNING", and popular new outfit New Jeans will showcase their hits "Supernatural" and "OMG." The dance segment featuring the三代目 J SOUL BROTHERS performance of "APT" featuring ROSÉ is sure to be another moment fans won’t want to miss out on.
During hour three, starting at 21:00, GENERATIONS will hit the stage with "エンドレス・ジャーニー" followed by Snow Man's anticipated performances. They will perform their crowd favorites, "EMPIRE" and "Dangerholic," as fans show their love for the group. The show will also feature Number_i with hits like "GOAT" and "INZM," making for another electrifying performance stage. Fans can also enjoy Mrs. GREEN APPLE playing their hit "ライラック," with the crowd singing along.
The night will also present beloved classics, including the duo尾崎匠海 and藤牧京介 from INI performing "いつかのメリークリスマス (B’z)" alongside the energetic 超特急 with "クリスマス・イブ (山下達郎)."三浦大知's performance of "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" will add to the festive spirit of the evening.
