CBRE Expands Liverpool Office Space To Double Capacity

The real estate firm braces for growth by enhancing its office footprint and fostering talent retention.

CBRE has made significant strides in Liverpool by doubling its office space at 4 St Paul’s Square, which now encompasses nearly 5,000 sq ft to meet the demands of its burgeoning workforce. The global real estate firm, which boasts over 100 years of presence in the city, has relocated from the 6th floor to the 5th floor to accommodate its team, which has expanded from 17 to 38 employees over the past five years.

According to Joe Rigby, MD of CBRE North, the Liverpool team's organic growth can be attributed to their integrated approach and multi-sector expertise. "Our Liverpool team has seen sustained organic growth over the past five years and this has been facilitated by our integrated approach to working, combined with our multi-sector expertise and full-service client offer," Rigby stated.

This expansion is not just about more office space, but also reflects CBRE's commitment to enhancing its workspace for current and future employees. Neil Kirkham, Head of Office Agency at CBRE Liverpool, noted, "The workplace has changed significantly and our relocation has provided the team the chance to deliver the highest quality fit out, whilst also promoting enhanced collaboration and wellbeing for our current and ever-expanding Liverpool team.”

CBRE's presence has been pivotal to the development of Liverpool’s city center, with the company's multi-service framework playing a key role. The firm interacts continuously with high-profile clients, including local authorities, educational institutions, and landmark projects. They offer strategic advice to notable education providers such as Liverpool John Moores University, the University of Liverpool, and the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. Their work also extends to local authority clients like Liverpool Council and various borough councils across the region.

The growth of CBRE's Liverpool office can be largely attributed to its strategic partnerships within the public sector. These collaborations have seen notable progress and cemented CBRE's position as one of the leading names within the industry. This is exemplified by their involvement with valuable projects such as the Royal Liver Building and Liverpool Waters.

CBRE has become synonymous with numerous landmark projects, proving its expertise and reliability. Some of its key collaborations include work with Bruntwood Sci-tech's The Plaza, Littlewood's Film Studios by Capital & Centric, and significant contributions to the Liverpool One shopping district and the Royal Albert Dock.

With this significant office expansion, CBRE is not only providing a conducive working environment for its growing team but also reaffirming its long-term commitment to Liverpool. The firm's new office space, which was expertly planned and executed by CBRE’s architecture team led by Darius Baniabassian, aims to create first-rate work conditions conducive to collaboration and productivity.

The impact of CBRE's growth and expansion is expected to ripple throughout the local economy, as it attracts more talent and resources to the area. This move is indicative of the dynamic changes taking shape within Liverpool’s real estate sector, which is witnessing significant development across various fronts.

CBRE's commitment to fostering positive growth and development within the Liverpool area is evident as they continue to extend their influence. By enhancing their office space, they are paving the way for future successes and appealing to the best talent within the industry.

With this renewed focus, CBRE is poised to continue its trend of growth and development, driving not only its interests but also contributing to the broader community's growth and prosperity. Following the expansion, CBRE aims to remain integral to Liverpool's economic fabric.
