Casa Árabe Hosts Month-Long Arabic Language Festival

The initiative aims to promote Arabic through contests, training, and cultural activities in Spain.

Casa Árabe, together with the King Salman Global Arabic Language Academy (KSGAAL) of Saudi Arabia, is spearheading a month-long celebration of the Arabic language in Spain, running until April 25, 2025. This initiative showcases a rich array of activities aimed at promoting the Arabic language's vast and diverse cultural heritage.

The event, occurring across various locations, is centered at Casa Árabe's headquarters in Madrid. It features poetry recitation, calligraphy, and storytelling competitions throughout March, culminating in an engaging week of activities and training sessions during April. By fostering interactions among students, educators, and institutions, this program aspires to enhance Arabic language instruction and appreciation.

The competitions—spanning areas such as poetry recitation, calligraphy, and storytelling—serve as a platform for Arabic students to showcase their talents. Registration for these contests began on March 10 and runs until March 31, 2025, inviting participation from schools and young learners eager to exhibit their skills and passion for the language.

On April 21, the event will officially present awards during a dedicated opening day. Scheduled from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM, this ceremony will not only recognize the winners but also celebrate the effort and enthusiasm of the participants.

From April 22 to April 25, 2025, Casa Árabe will conduct a professional training program aimed at trainers of Arabic as a foreign language. This aspect of the event focuses on enhancing the quality of language instruction through comprehensive assessments and examinations designed to elevate teaching standards.

Additionally, on April 23, from 5 PM to 8 PM, students will have the opportunity to partake in a training session centered on utilizing online resources for learning Arabic. This training will also include guidance on the Hamza certification process—an essential component in Arabic literacy.

This initiative aligns with the broader Arabic Language Months organized by KSGAAL, which aims to celebrate and enrich the Arabic language globally. By establishing connections with local universities and training centers, the program seeks to create pathways for collaborative efforts and future projects, thereby ensuring a lasting impact within the community.

As the Arabic language continues to resonate with millions across the globe, initiatives like this are crucial in appreciating its historical significance and contemporary relevance. The programs designed by Casa Árabe and its partners are set to not only refine the teaching methodologies but also inspire a new generation of Arabic learners who will carry the beauty of the language forward.
