Alongside this, the company will also open another location, the Tonalie Minami-Senri Store, in Osaka on March 20, 2025, marking significant growth for the fast-food chain.
With these two new establishments, Burger King will bring its nationwide total to 268 outlets across Japan as of March 25, 2025. The Tonalie Minami-Senri Store will be located at 1-1-30 Tsukumo-dai, Suita City, Osaka Prefecture, and will open at 9:00 AM. The Riverwalk Kitakyushu Store will be at 1-1-1 Muromachi, Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture and is scheduled to open at 10:00 AM.
This expansion signifies Burger King's aggressive growth strategy, as the company aims to aggressively open new locations throughout 2025. The goal is to reach 600 restaurants nationwide by the end of 2028. This commitment not only enhances their footprint but also aims to cater to commuting customers and shoppers seeking high-quality meals featuring their signature flame-grilled 100% beef patties.
The establishment of these new locations is strategically placed within large shopping malls, intended to provide convenient dining options for those on the go. Customers can expect to enjoy classic offerings like the Whopper, which is widely regarded as the flagship burger of the franchise. Burger King emphasizes the quality made possible through their cooking methods and fresh ingredients, promising to provide not just food, but also valuable dining experiences.
The Whopper Cheese, for example, is priced at 690 yen for the single item and 990 yen for the set. The restaurant also offers kids' meals, including the Cheese Burger Kids Set at 440 yen, the Hamburger Kids Set at 410 yen, and the Chicken Nuggets Kids Set at 460 yen, catering to families visiting the new outlets.
Established back in 1954, Burger King has grown tremendously, now operating over 19,500 locations worldwide, covering more than 100 countries including the United States. It is owned by Restaurant Brands International (TSX, NYSE: QSR), one of the largest quick-service restaurant companies globally with over $35 billion in total sales and more than 28,000 stores.
With these new openings, Burger King aims to not only increase its presence but also to adapt to localized tastes and preferences. The introduction of these restaurants forms part of the company's comprehensive plan to develop new franchise opportunities and menu innovations focused on customer satisfaction. The commitment to quality with their flame-grilled patties and fresh ingredients aims to attract loyal customers as they expand their reach across Japan.
The upbeat response from the community and potential customers hints at the rising excitement around the brand's entry to Kitakyushu City. Residents are anticipating the opening of the Riverwalk Kitakyushu Store, hoping for diverse menu options and quality dining experiences.
Overall, Burger King's ambitious plans for expansion highlight not just the brand's resilience but also its ability to innovate and grow within the competitive fast-food market. The openings of the new stores herald the beginning of new culinary experiences for many, as the company continues to strive for excellence and customer delight through its signature menu options.
