BTS Members Embrace Military Service And Solo Projects

While serving, Jin, J-Hope and Jimin share their insights and growth, with group reunification awaiting completion of enlistments.

South Korean pop sensation BTS continues to capture the hearts of fans around the world, even as its members serve their mandatory military duties. Recently, RM, the leader of the group, shared his reflections on life as a soldier, expressing both envy and relief as fellow members Jin and J-Hope return to solo projects.

Jin and J-Hope were the first of the BTS members to complete their military service. Since returning, they have already launched solo endeavors, much to the delight of their dedicated fanbase. Jin is actively promoting his first solo album, titled "Happy," and J-Hope has teased his upcoming single, "LV Bad," which features Don Toliver.

With RM currently undergoing military service, he took to social media to share his thoughts, writing, "When I see the two members who completed their duties before me and are resuming their lives, I feel both envy and relief. Being civilian is the best thing." RM is set to finish his military obligations on June 10, 2025, alongside V, with Jungkook, Jimin, and Suga expected to conclude their enlistment around the same time.

During this period, RM is not only focusing on his military duties but also on personal growth. He stated, "I’m exercising, playing my saxophone, listening to music, watching movies on weekends, and studying, preparing for my return.” His commitment to maintaining readiness for when BTS can reunite is evident.

Similarly, Jimin has been vocal about his experiences during his military service. Recently, he opened his heart to fans on Weverse, detailing how his feeling of time has changed since joining the armed forces. He confessed, "It’s not easy, but there are many things I’m learning and experiencing. I look forward to the day I can talk to you about everything.”

Jimin also acknowledged his changing conversations with Jungkook, as they often discuss their plans for the future and the image they want to portray upon returning. "To be honest, I feel a little afraid," he admitted. His determination to provide the best show possible remains unwavering, stating, “It’s been quite some time since we performed together, and it’s been long since we’ve been able to fully dedicate ourselves to the stage and music. This makes me nervous, but I will do my best to return in the best shape possible.”

Postings from both Jin and J-Hope coincided with Jimin's heartfelt reflection, marking the Lunar New Year with messages of hope and aspiration. Fans eagerly await the collective return of BTS, with expectations set for their new album to drop sometime in the latter half of 2025, followed by a potential worldwide tour in 2026.

The group's last appearance in Brazil was back in 2019 during their "World Tour Love Yourself," where they entertained over 90,000 fans at the Allianz Parque, São Paulo, leaving behind memories immortalized in their live DVD.

Despite the physical absence of the BTS members from the stage, they continue to engage with fans through their solo activities and personal messages. The camaraderie among them remains strong, reflecting their commitment not only to their music but also to their growth as individuals. Fans are left anticipating their return, not just as solo artists but as the unified force of BTS once more.
