The BSR Veterans Association of Vietnam has made significant strides in 2024, showcasing unity, innovation, and community engagement. Under the leadership of Bui Ngoc Duong, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Director of BSR, the association aimed to uphold the traditions of the “Bộ đội Cụ Hồ” and actively participated in various initiatives.
During the 2024 meeting, key figures including Khuong Le Thanh, the Chairman of the BSR Veterans Association, and Pham Minh Nghia, Deputy General Director of BSR, outlined the association's impactful programs. These efforts focused on educating members about party policies, fostering teamwork, and encouraging participation across the board. “BSR Veterans Association is not just about preserving traditions, but actively moving forward to support the company’s mission,” Duong stated, reflecting the organization's forward-thinking approach.
Successful initiatives were implemented to commemorate national events like Tết, with the association visiting members facing hardships and offering support. The members participated fervently as they shared histories, reinforcing values, and inspiring the next generation to maintain dedication to their work and country. Khuong Le Thanh emphasized, “We must inspire the younger generation and maintain our dedication to the nation,” highlighting the essence of their outreach.
The past year saw remarkable contributions from the BSR Veterans Association, leading to substantial cost savings exceeding 10 billion VND for the company. Their suggestions included practical solutions such as the application of Nano paints for equipment protection and efficient processes reducing downtime for machinery repair. These innovations not only aided production efficiency but also garnered recognition, with members receiving awards recognizing their inventive spirit.
Looking forward, the BSR Veterans Association set ambitious goals for 2025, focusing on preserving core values and enhancing operations with the adherence to guidelines from the party and state. Their strategic plans include continuing educational programs centered on the legacy of Ho Chi Minh, promoting labor incentives across all units of production, and advocating for the welfare of all association members.
The association took pride not only in its internal accomplishments but also engaged actively in projects aiding the community. Collaborations with local military commands ensured comprehensive training programs, enhancing personnel readiness and safety measures within the facility. The association's involvement extended to supporting disaster relief efforts and ensuring safety protocols during operations at the Dung Quất facility, which has set benchmarks with over 49 million safe working hours.
Through 2024’s initiatives, the BSR Veterans Association affirmed its commitment to the long-standing traditions of service and sacrifice, acting as role models for younger members of the workforce. Significantly, their role during the upcoming 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army and the 35th anniversary of the entire nation’s defense celebration underscored their pivotal position within the community. The association remains determined to maintain its exemplary standards and inspire others to contribute positively to BSR’s vision and strategy for the coming years.
Concluding the annual meeting, Khuong Le Thanh reinforced the importance of the BSR Veterans Association's role as templates of commitment and leadership. “Our goal is to continuously develop both personally and collectively,” he declared, ensuring the future generations would carry the torch forward, prioritizing the national identity and integrity associated with the BSR legacy.
