According to Delray Beach Fire Rescue (DBFR), the incident occurred at approximately 10:48 a.m. when the train collided with the fire truck, crushing its front and knocking it onto its side.
Delray Beach Fire Rescue confirmed all three firefighters were transported to the local hospital, with two reported as being in serious condition. “At this time, all are in stable condition and will continue being evaluated,” said Ronald Martin, Fire Rescue Chief of Delray Beach, emphasizing the potential for prolonged hospital stays as the injured personnel undergo assessment.
