Breeze Airways Expands Nonstop Flights To Daytona Beach And Wilmington

New Routes Set to Launch February 2025 as Airline Grows Market Presence

Breeze Airways is taking to the skies with exciting news for travelers from the New England and Florida regions. The low-cost airline has just announced new nonstop flights from both T.F. Green International Airport in Rhode Island and Bradley International Airport in Connecticut to popular destinations like Daytona Beach, Florida, and Wilmington, North Carolina, starting February 2025.

This announcement marks yet another significant step for Breeze Airlines as it continues to expand its route network, following its recent growth spurt. David Neeleman, the founder and CEO of Breeze Airways, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Hartford has been a fantastic market for us, and we continue to see more opportunities for growth.” He also highlighted the airline's strategy of providing affordable and convenient travel options to various destinations.

Starting February 13, travelers will be able to fly direct from Bradley International to Daytona Beach and Wilmington. On February 14, the airline will also initiate flights from T.F. Green to these coveted locations. Both airlines will operate flights twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays, making travel simple for both business and leisure travelers.

Rhode Island Airport Corporation President Iftikhar Ahmad noted the growing demand for these routes, saying, “These two popular east coast destinations will be welcome additions to Breeze Airways’ growing nonstop service for Southeastern New England.”

This expansion not only enriches the travel choices for residents but also aims to boost tourism and local economies at both the departing and arriving locations. Daytona Beach International Airport is also seeing positive growth signs as it welcomes Breeze Airways’ service. The airport recently celebrated Breeze’s announcement to offer year-round flights to four new destinations: Westchester County, New York, which begins service this November, along with Hartford, Providence, and Raleigh-Durham starting early next year.

Highlighting its growing presence, Breeze is already flying nonstop from Bradley International to Charleston, Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville, and several other cities. With the addition of these new routes, the destinations available from Bradley will reach 24.

Industry experts believe this new service will not only ease travel for locals but also pave the way for more airline options at Daytona Beach International Airport. Joanne Magley, the airport's director of air service, remarked, “The more we add airlines, the more other airlines take notice.” Increasing the number of budget-friendly travel options aligns with their goal of attracting more visitors to the area.

Travelers are likely to appreciate Breeze’s business model, which focuses on affordable fares without compromising service quality. The airline offers four different types of airfares: "No Flex Fare" for basic travel, "Nice" which includes carry-on baggage, "Nicer" with additional perks like free inflight WiFi, and "Nicest," which provides the most luxurious experience available.

This week, Breeze is sweetening the deal with a promotional offer of 35% off all roundtrip fares if booked by Friday midnight, utilizing the promotional code "TAKEOFF" at checkout. This means travelers should take advantage of this limited-time offer for flights between August 28 and May 13 of the following year.

The announcement at the Daytona Beach International Airport drew attention from local officials and travelers alike. The day was marked by speeches and celebrations, underscoring the excitement surrounding Breeze’s entry and what it signifies for the community.

Cyrus Callum, Volusia County's director of aviation and economic resources, called it the "biggest air service announcement" the airport has ever had. Breeze’s commitment to providing direct flights to multiple destinations underlines the growing confidence and appeal of the Florida market. It appears to be part of a larger trend where the airline seeks to establish itself firmly against its competitors.

The competition among airlines is heating up, with Avelo Airlines also announcing new routes from Daytona Beach. Their recent plans to offer service to New Haven and Hartford, Connecticut, adds more fuel to the race for travelers.

This dynamic between airlines is encouraging, as it results in more choices for consumers, and elevates the travel experience as more carriers enter the market. Local leaders are confident this will not only improve travel options for residents but also support regional economic growth.

While the cost advantage of Breeze is its primary selling point, the airline's emphasis on direct access to popular locations without unnecessary layovers is likely to resonate big with travelers tired of convoluted itineraries.

The excitement surrounding Breeze’s additions to both Bradley and T.F. Green is palpable. With growing competition and airline collaborations, travelers can look forward to not just more routes but also potentially better pricing and services.

Overall, Breeze Airways’ strategy to expand its services is well-aligned with market demand. The announcement was not just about flight schedules but rather part of a bigger commitment to offering affordable, high-quality travel options, reflecting the airline's vision of enhancing customer satisfaction through convenience and efficiency.

With hearts full of anticipation and wallets hoping to save, travelers from New England and beyond eager to make their airline choices will be keeping their eyes on Breeze Airways. Will this new service from Providence and Connecticut open the door for more expansions? Only time will tell, but for now, the skies seem to be clearing with opportunities.
