Isolda Carvalho, who has participated for over twenty years, shared her joy: "We've been going out for this block for over twenty years, just friends and family, to live and brighten the world."
The festivities also included arrayed floats celebrating the rich history of Alagoas through dazzling art and culture. Participants were required to have plenty of stamina for the marathon of joy, as there was no shortage of energy during the event. Participant José Claudionor stated, "At Pinto da Madrugada, the vibe is different… energy galore!" This unmistakable enthusiasm exemplifies the spirit of the Nordeste region and the camaraderie of Carnival.
While Maceió was vibrant with its own celebrations, São Paulo showcased its unique style with the "Bloco do Abrava." This year's event attracted thousands, with celebrity guest Tiago Abravanel at the helm, who paid tribute to his grandfather, the legendary television host Silvio Santos, who passed away earlier this year. The event began at 11 AM on Avenida Brigadeiro Faria Lima with fantastical costumes and performances.
"Carnival is all about joy, and I feel honored to honor my grandfather, who unfortunately is not with us anymore, but his joy will always remain close to our hearts," said Abravanel during the event. Known for his charm and uplifting presence, his performance was complemented by bright, humorous adaptations of Santos' iconic style, featuring his signature microphone attached to his outfit. He used humor to bridge the gap between nostalgia and current festivities, wearing a stylish version of Santos's trademark suit adapted for the Carnival heat.
Adding to the festivities were numerous lively participants, including Dionisio, who dressed as the "Tele Sena"—a lottery game created by Silvio Santos—finding amusement and joy in celebrating the legacy of this influential figure.
Aside from the larger cities, the quaint town of São Bento do Sapucaí also joined the festivities with its own traditional celebration, highlighting the famed "Bloco do Zé Pereira." Featuring historical characters, vibrant shows, and educational activities, this celebration puts the spotlight on local culture and history, inviting families to participate through shows, contests, and lively performances.
