Meanwhile, the effects of Carnival extend beyond the festivities, impacting various city services. The government of Mogi das Cruzes assures residents of optimal functionality during the extended holiday period.

Essential services will remain operational heading through the Carnival. The Municipal Market will follow regular hours on Saturday, March 1, open from 7 AM to 4 PM, and on Sunday, March 2, from 7 AM to 12 PM, but it will close on Monday and Tuesday (March 3 and 4). Regular operations will resume on Ash Wednesday (March 5) at 1 PM.

Public parks within Mogi will also be accessible to families seeking leisure during the festivities. Notably:

  • City Park: 7 AM to 6 PM

Healthcare services will continue uninterrupted, with local hospitals operating every day during the Carnival. The Municipal Children's Emergency Service will remain available, operating from the Hospital Municipal. Other health facilities, including "Vagalume" and 24-hour units from various districts, will also offer services throughout the period.

Movements are underway to secure the safety of tourists and locals alike during this vibrant season. The state government has made significant investments to support law enforcement, ensuring the security of numerous festival-goers expected to fill the streets.

Organizers and officials continue to prompt adherence to safety protocols aiming at protecting festival attendees, with extra personnel stationed at primary venues for crowd management.

For families staying home during the Carnival, the City of Children Zilda Arns provides engaging activities through its array of facilities, offering diverse recreational opportunities. This beloved park will be available to families on the weekend of March 1 and 2, providing children with endless fun with its various attractions. Activities will resume again on Thursday, March 6, after the holiday interruption.
