Brawl Stars Unveils Major Updates in February 2025 Brawl Talk
New Brawlers, Hypercharges, and Ranked System Enhancements Announced
Brawl Stars has officially released their February 2025 Brawl Talk, previewing significant updates set to launch on February 25, 2025. This latest patch promises to refresh the game with the introduction of two new brawlers, twelve hypercharges, and overhauls to the ranked system, plus exciting collaborations with UNO.
The highlight of this Brawl Talk is the introduction of the new brawlers, Finx and Lumi. Finx, characterized as a long-range brawler, has the unique ability to manipulate time. His main attack, known as Chronocast, allows him to fire three projectiles, with the central one inflicting the most damage. Finx's Super, Time Warp, slows down enemy projectiles and speeds up those of his teammates, making tactical plays possible.
Alongside Finx, Lumi joins the battlefield with her own set of impressive abilities. This brawler features long-range attacks by throwing dual morning stars, which can pierce through enemies. Lumi's Super unleashes three powerful slams, resulting in area damage with the last slam stunning opponents. Her gadgets and star powers add even more versatility, including options to set her morning stars on fire and create freezing zones.
According to game developers, both brawlers will have access to various gadgets and star powers. For Finx, gadgets like Finxture allow for time-related tactics, enabling him to return to his previous position from three seconds earlier. His star powers, such as Hieroglyph Halt and Primer, grant additional advantages like slowing enemy reload speeds and extending the duration of his Super.
Lumi's gadgets include Hit the Lights, which ignites her morning stars for extra damage, and Frostbitten, creating icy areas for strategic control. Her star powers improve weapon recall dynamics and damage over time.
Along with the new characters, the February Brawl Talk reveals twelve new hypercharges set to be integrated within the game. Each existing brawler will receive unique buffs through these hypercharges. Examples include Carl's new ability to leave burning trails with his Super, and Bo's capacity to deploy additional mines, enhancing gameplay and strategy.
The Brawl Stars team has put considerable thought behind the update's ranked system as well. This overhaul aims to create a more competitive and rewarding experience for players. Starting from next month, new maps and modes will be featured each month, alongside the introduction of the Pro Pass—offering both free and paid tracks.
For the free track players can earn rewards such as Ranked Drops, Gems, and exclusive skins, whereas the paid track offers more substantial rewards including 600 gems and upgradeable skins. Every player will also get the chance to temporarily use three maxed-out brawlers without needing to own them, broadening accessibility and engagement during ranked matches.
New add-ons like daily streak rewards will incentivize daily logins, granting players various rewards as they maintain their streak. Missing a day will allow players the option to spend gems to retain their streak progress.
Another exciting announcement from this Brawl Talk is the collaboration with UNO, which introduces themed skins and modes centered around the popular card game. Players will need to carry and strategically discard UNO cards throughout the map, capitalizing on the unique bonuses each card presents.
Through UNO collaboration, specific cards will impact gameplay, providing tactical advantages like power boosts or silencing enemies temporarily. The new mode captures the essence of Brawl Stars’ dynamic, creative gameplay merged with strategy from UNO.
The developers are also focusing on minor yet impactful changes, including the permanent addition of Trio Showdown, the introduction of cooldowns instead of gadget charges, and allowing players to favorite brawlers for quick access.
With all these updates slated for February 25, players are gearing up for significant changes to their Brawl Stars experience. The incorporation of new brawlers Finx and Lumi, the extensive list of hypercharges, the revamped ranked system, and the novel UNO mode suggests February will be one of the most exciting months for Brawl Stars enthusiasts.
