He stated Jabbar expressed clear support for ISIS, sharing multiple videos early on New Year’s Day voicing his desire to target Bourbon Street, so "the headlines would highlight what he called the war between believers and disbelievers." According to Raia, Jabbar had been inspired by ISIS, having joined the organization prior to the summer of 2024.
