The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) is set to announce the results for the Class 10th (Matriculation) examinations conducted between February 17 and February 25, 2025. More than 15 lakh students eagerly await their results, which are expected to be released on April 5, 2025. As reported by multiple media outlets, the official announcement will occur at a press conference featuring Board Chairman Anand Kishore.
A countdown has begun for students and parents alike, with official channels including biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in, results.biharboardonline.com, and secondary.biharboardonline.com set to activate result links post-announcement. This year, candidates can check their scores either online or through SMS, catering to the diverse needs of students across Bihar.
The online method requires students to visit the specified official websites and click on the relevant result link. Students must input their roll number and roll code along with any required security verification to access their results online. Following this, they can download a digital scorecard for future reference.
For those opting for the SMS route, simply typing "BIHAR10 ROLLNUMBER" (e.g., BIHAR10 123456) and sending it to 56263 will yield exam results directly via text. Additionally, results will also be accessible through the DigiLocker app, allowing convenient storage of documents and verification.
Last year, the Bihar Board's results were released on March 31, 2024, slightly earlier than this year’s predicted date. The stability and organization exhibited in the administration of the examinations this year remain commendable. In a bid to ensure smooth conduct and uphold integrity, the board implemented Section 144 around exam centers, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining a fair testing environment.
As for recognition of achievement, BSEB plans to offer financial rewards to top performers. The rank 1 student will receive ₹1 lakh and a laptop, while the second and third rank holders will be awarded ₹75,000 and ₹50,000 respectively, along with laptops. Such incentives not only encourage academic excellence but also foster a competitive spirit among students.
Reflecting on last year's performance, the overall pass percentage stood at an impressive 82.91%, with 4,52,302 students securing the first division. The gender divide in these statistics was noticeable, as boys accounted for 2,52,846 first division students compared to 1,99,456 girls. In the 2024 results, the second division comprised 5,24,965 students, while 3,80,732 received a third division. Performance in the previous years has shown a consistent upward trajectory—81.04% in 2023, 79.88% in 2022, and 78.17% in 2021.
With growing anticipation amid students and parents, the BSEB aims to maintain transparency and prompt communication about the Class 10th results. The announcement slated for April 5 is expected to draw significant attention, as students navigate their next steps in their educational journeys. Importantly, this period of uncertainty also reflects a larger engagement with educational outcomes in the state as students look forward to their academic futures.
As the date draws closer, students and parents are encouraged to stay updated via BSEB's official channels or dedicated educational portals. With so much riding on these results, the speed and accessibility of information play a crucial role. The expectation surrounding the results this year is palpable, and the BSEB’s provision for multiple checking methods reflects a thoughtful approach to student needs.
In sum, the Bihar Board Class 10th results remain a pivotal moment for the state’s youth as they look toward higher education opportunities. The forthcoming announcement will not only determine their immediate academic futures but also influence their long-term aspirations. The involvement and support of families during this crucial time cannot be understated, highlighting the collective hope and ambition within the community.
