Bihar Board Class 10 Results 2025 Announced With 82.11% Pass Rate

Sakshi Kumari, Anshu Kumari, and Ranjan Verma top the exams with 97.8% scores

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has officially announced the results for the Class 10 (Matric) examinations for the year 2025, revealing a pass percentage of 82.11%. The results were declared on March 29, 2025, at 12:00 noon, during a press conference held at the BSEB headquarters in Patna, attended by key officials including Education Minister Sunil Kumar and BSEB Chairman Anand Kishore.

This year, a total of 15,58,077 students appeared for the exams, with 12,79,294 candidates successfully passing. The overall pass rate shows a slight decline from the previous year’s 82.91%. Students have the option to check their results online at the official websites: matricresult2025.com and matricbiharboard.com.

Among the standout performers, Sakshi Kumari, Anshu Kumari, and Ranjan Verma have jointly topped the exams, each scoring an impressive 489 marks out of 500, translating to a remarkable 97.8%. Their achievement highlights the hard work and dedication of students in Bihar.

According to BSEB Chairman Anand Kishore, this year’s result declaration was notably swift, completed within 29 days of the evaluation process beginning on March 1, 2025. The results were made available to the public immediately following the press conference.

The Class 10 examinations were conducted from February 17 to February 25, 2025, across 1,677 centers in Bihar, with a total of 15.85 lakh students participating. The answer keys were released on March 6, allowing students to raise objections until March 10, 2025.

Breaking down the results, 4,70,845 students achieved first division, while 4,84,012 secured second division marks. Additionally, 3,07,792 students obtained third division results, and 16,645 students fell into the general pass category. This year, boys outperformed girls, with a pass percentage of 83.65% compared to girls' 80.67%.

For those who did not pass, the BSEB has announced the opportunity to apply for compartment exams. The application window for these exams will open from April 4 and close on April 12, 2025. Students who feel their results do not reflect their performance can also apply for re-evaluation during this period.

In terms of the top performers, the results indicate a strong showing from students in various schools across the state. Notably, ten students from Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya in Jamui achieved top ranks, showcasing the school's commitment to academic excellence.

As the excitement continues to build among students and families, many are celebrating their hard-earned success. The BSEB has once again demonstrated its ability to manage the large number of candidates effectively and deliver results in a timely manner.

Students and parents are encouraged to keep their admit cards handy for quick access to results. The board has reiterated that the online scorecards are provisional, and students will receive their final marksheets from their respective schools at a later date.
