The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has officially announced the results for the 12th-grade Intermediate Annual Examination on March 25, 2025. With an impressive overall pass percentage of 86.50%, this year's results reflect the hard work and dedication of approximately 12.9 lakh students across Bihar. The announcement was made by BSEB Chairman Anand Kishor alongside State Education Minister Sunil Kumar during a press conference held at 1:15 PM.

Priya Jayswal, a student from the Science stream, has topped the Bihar Board this year, achieving a remarkable score of 484 out of 500 marks. Following closely behind, Akash Kumar secured the second rank with 480 marks, and Ravi Kumar claimed the third position with 478 marks. Education Minister Sunil Kumar commended the performance, stating, "The inter result has been announced first in the country thanks to new techniques," emphasizing the advancements that allowed for an efficient result declaration.

This year's examination witnessed participation from a total of 12,92,313 students, comprising 6,41,847 females and 6,50,466 males. The examination took place across 1,677 centers in 38 districts of Bihar. Stream-wise results indicated a pass percentage of 82.75% for Arts, 94.77% for Commerce, and 89.59% for Science. The overall pass percentage showed a decrease from last year's figure of 87.21%, prompting some discussions among educational circles on the underlying factors leading to this drop.

The students can view their results by visiting official websites such as interresult2025.com and interbiharboard.com. To ensure a seamless experience, students will need to enter their roll number, roll code, and date of birth to access their results. In case the websites experience high traffic, students can alternatively receive their scores via SMS, which can be sent by typing "BIHAR12 [Roll Number]" and sending it to 56263.

In the previous academic year, the top achievers included Tushar Kumar in the Arts stream, who scored 96.40%, and Mrityunjay Kumar from the Science stream, who attained 96.20%. Such performances set a high bar for the current cohort, and many observers are keen to see how the distillation of skills and knowledge in students manifests in universities and other academic fields. The performance of girl students, in particular, has been noteworthy, maintaining a strong presence among the top ranks.

As students check their results, the BSEB has also outlined procedures for those who may not be satisfied with their marks. Students wishing to have their answer sheets reevaluated can apply for scrutiny within a week from the result declaration, with a nominal fee required for each subject. Moreover, those who fall short in one or two subjects may participate in compartment exams scheduled for later in the year, aiming for a chance to secure a passing mark and continue their academic journey.

This year's results reflect a continued trend of progress in the education sector within Bihar, showcasing resilience and adaptability among students. The declaration of results has become an annual event marked by the anticipation among students and parents alike—a significant milestone that shapes future educational paths.

With the results now out, students are advised to promptly download their provisional mark sheets from the portals and later obtain the original documents from their respective schools. Accurate records and timely applications for further studies or vocational courses will play a crucial role in shaping their futures. The eagerly awaited Bihar Board Class 12th results signify not just individual accomplishments but also a collective triumph for the state's educational framework and its ongoing commitment to fostering academic excellence among the youth.
