The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) announced the results of the Bihar Board 12th examinations today, March 25, 2025, at precisely 1:15 PM. This year, an impressive total of around 12.92 lakh students were eligible for the examination, comprised of 6,41,847 girls and 6,50,466 boys. The results showed that the overall pass percentage has slightly declined to 86.56%, a drop of 0.65% from last year, where the overall pass percentage was 87.21%.
The results, which were prepared efficiently, took only 37 days from the conclusion of exams to publication, a notable timeframe considering the number of students involved. State Education Minister Sunil Kumar stated, "The overall pass percentage is 86.50%," indicating that despite the slight drop, a significant majority of students successfully qualified.

A total of 6,37,797 girls appeared for the exams, with 5,59,097 passing, marking a pass percentage of 87.67%. Comparatively, of the 6,42,414 boys who sat for the exams, 5,48,233 passed, yielding a pass percentage of 85.34%.
Delving into the different streams, the Arts stream recorded a pass percentage of 82.75%, with 505,884 passing out of 611,365 students. The Science stream fared better, recording a pass percentage of 89.50%, while the Commerce stream led this year with an impressive 94.77% of its students passing.
Assessing the top achievers in each stream, Priya Jaiswal emerged as the highest scorer in Science, achieving a remarkable 96.8%. She was closely followed by Akash Kumar, who scored 96%. In the Commerce stream, Roshni Kumari topped with a total of 475 marks, while Antra Khushi trailed closely with 473 marks. Notably, the Arts stream saw both Ankita Kumari and Sakib Sah tie for the highest score at 94.6%.
