Top performers recognized with enhanced cash prizes and scholarships as compartment exams await.

Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has officially released the long-awaited results for the 12th-grade examinations, marking a significant moment for over 12 lakh students. The results were announced on March 25, 2025, at 1:15 PM, and students can access their results on the official websites, including www.interresult2025.com and www.interbiharboard.com. Those preferring to check results by name can do so on Jagran Josh's dedicated results page.

This year's results showed a total pass percentage of 86.56%, slightly down from last year's 87.21%. In the breakdown, 89.50% of students in the Science stream successfully passed, while 82.75% of Arts students and an impressive 94.77% of Commerce students secured their spots in higher education.

Leading the charge in the Science stream, Priya Jaysawal achieved the highest marks, securing 484 out of 500, translating to a remarkable 96.8%. In the Arts category, both Ankita Kumari and Shakib Shah excelled with 473 marks (94.6%), while in Commerce, Roshani Kumari emerged as the top scorer with 475 marks (95%).

The immense achievement of these students has not gone unnoticed, as the Bihar government announced significantly increased prize amounts for the top performers this year. The top scorer will receive a staggering ₹2 lakh (up from ₹1 lakh last year), while second and third places will garner ₹1.5 lakh and ₹1 lakh, respectively. Additionally, the fourth and fifth position holders will earn ₹30,000 each. Toppers will receive not only cash prizes but also laptops, certificates, and medals, accompanied by merit-based scholarships for future studies.

The Government of Bihar aims to support the top five students in each stream with scholarships aimed at promoting their academic pursuits: ₹1,500 per month for general undergraduate programs and ₹2,500 for professional or technical courses for the full duration of study, providing much-needed support as they transition into higher education.

Students who did not pass this year's exams have another chance, as the Bihar Board announced that compartment exams will be held from April 1 to April 8, 2025. The results of these exams will be released on May 31, 2025, offering a lifeline for students looking to improve their scores.

This year, approximately 13 lakh students eagerly awaited their results, which were released 37 days after exams concluded—a notably rapid turnaround. BSEB conducted the examinations in two shifts from February 1 to February 15, 2025, which were held in 1,677 centers across 38 districts.

As the results were disclosed, BSEB chairman Anand Kishor took to Twitter to assure students that the results would be timely. We're pleased to continue our tradition of smoothly conducting examinations and releasing results on time, he stated, highlighting the Board's ongoing commitment to efficiency in educational processes.

The announcement of the results continues a trend; Bihar Board has consistently been at the forefront of exam result announcements, surpassing even larger boards like CBSE and UP Board. In the wake of their own examination completion, UP Board students continue to await their results, with CBSE exams concluding on April 4.

In summary, the Bihar Board's commitment to efficient results release is clear. As more students take advantage of this opportunity, the Board continues to set a benchmark for other state examination boards across India. With achievements recognized and celebrations for the highest achievers, BSEB is paving the way for future educational successes.
