Biffy Clyro Unveil Hunting Season Ahead Of Futique Tour

Scottish rockers release second single from tenth album and announce extensive UK and European arena tour for early 2026

Scottish rock trio Biffy Clyro have once again captured the attention of their fans with the release of "Hunting Season," the second single from their eagerly awaited tenth studio album, Futique. Dropped on August 1, 2025, this powerful track follows the lead single "A Little Love" and continues to build anticipation ahead of the full album's release on September 26, 2025, via Warner Music.

"Hunting Season" is more than just a song; it’s a stirring exploration of self-perception and judgment. Frontman Simon Neil explained the song’s themes candidly, saying, "'Hunting Season' is saying, 'I don’t know if I can judge myself through the eyes of someone else.' It’s hard enough to know who you are and what matters to you, but if you’re worrying too much about how other people are seeing you then you don’t stand a chance. I feel like we’re all judged so much by people in the outside world who don’t know anything about us and that can be really scary." This reflection resonates deeply with listeners, capturing the universal struggle of maintaining a sense of self amid external pressures.

The track itself carries a dynamic reminiscent of Biffy Clyro’s earlier work, particularly echoing the swinging intensity of "Living Is a Problem Because Everything Dies." With storming verses and a soaring chorus, "Hunting Season" showcases the band’s signature blend of raw energy and melodic complexity.

But what exactly is Futique about? Simon Neil offers insight into the album’s overarching concept, describing it as "an exploration of ideas, objects or relationships that exist across time – we are never aware when we do anything for the last time and there’s a beauty and sadness within that." This philosophical underpinning adds a poignant layer to the album, inviting listeners to contemplate the fleeting nature of moments and connections.

For longtime fans, Futique follows the band’s 2020 release, A Celebration of Endings, and 2021’s The Myth of the Happily Ever After. Over the years, Biffy Clyro have carved a distinct place in the UK rock scene, with acclaimed albums like Puzzle, Only Revolutions, and Opposites solidifying their reputation for blending emotional depth with musical innovation.

Coinciding with the single's release, the band announced an extensive UK, Ireland, and European arena tour set for early 2026. The Futique Tour promises to be one of their biggest runs in years, spanning 12 countries and featuring support from Soft Play and The Armed. The tour kicks off on January 9, 2026, at the SSE Arena in Belfast and will cover major cities including Dublin, Nottingham, London, Birmingham, Manchester, Cardiff, Aberdeen, and Glasgow throughout January.

Following the UK and Ireland leg, Biffy Clyro will take their live show to continental Europe, with dates scheduled from late January through February. Highlights include performances at Amsterdam’s AFAS Live, Düsseldorf’s Mitsubishi Electric Hall, Paris’s Olympia, and several venues across Germany, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Luxembourg.

Fans eager to secure tickets can find them currently available through Ticketmaster, Live Nation, and the official Biffy Clyro website. The Oslo show at Sentrum Scene has already sold out, underscoring the high demand and excitement surrounding the band’s return to the stage.

Since forming in Kilmarnock in 1995, Biffy Clyro have evolved into one of Scotland’s most beloved rock acts, known for their intricate songwriting and electrifying live performances. Their ability to tackle complex emotional themes while delivering compelling rock anthems has earned them a loyal global fan base.

With "Hunting Season" and the upcoming Futique album, Biffy Clyro continue to push their creative boundaries, inviting listeners into a reflective journey through time, identity, and the bittersweet nature of change. As the band prepares to hit arenas across Europe, fans have much to look forward to—both in the studio and on stage.
