A Bettendorf man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder following a stabbing incident at the Walmart on Elmore Avenue, Davenport, on Saturday afternoon. Wesley E. Spotts, 58, faces serious charges including Attempted Murder, Willful Injury, Going Armed with Intent, and Assault with Intent to Commit Serious Injury.
The police responded to reports of the stabbing around 3:45 PM. Upon arrival, officers found a 24-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim, whose identity has not been released, was transported to a Quad Cities hospital, but as of now, his condition remains unknown.
