The Bett Brasil education fair starts today, April 28, 2025, at Expo Center Norte in São Paulo, marking its 30th edition and coinciding with World Education Day. The event is set to run until May 1, 2025, and is expected to attract over 46,000 visitors.
This year’s theme, “Education to Face Crises and Build Regenerative Futures,” emphasizes the critical role of education in addressing contemporary challenges and creating sustainable solutions. The fair will feature 12 simultaneous auditoriums and more than 450 speakers, including educators, government representatives, and industry experts.
Claudia Valério, the general director of Bett Brasil, highlighted the event’s importance, stating, “Bett Brasil is much more than an event—it’s a strategic meeting point for the educational sector. We gather educators and specialists from Brazil and around the world to reflect on current challenges and build sustainable pathways for the future.”
The opening ceremony is scheduled for 10 AM today and will feature notable attendees such as César Callegari, president of the National Education Council; Vinicius Neiva, executive secretary of the São Paulo State Education Secretariat; and Anita Gea Martinez Stefani, director of the Basic Education Secretariat. The ceremony will be moderated by Adriana de Barros from TV Cultura.
A significant aspect of this year’s fair is its focus on pressing subthemes, including the climate crisis, artificial intelligence, mental health, and educational equity. These topics will be explored through various panels and discussions throughout the four-day event.
One of the highlights of the fair is the participation of Jandaia, a leading company in educational solutions, showcasing its innovative product, JandaIA. This notebook integrates artificial intelligence to enhance the learning experience by digitizing and interpreting notes. Andresa Palma, the marketing manager of Jandaia, stated, “Our goal is to democratize the use of artificial intelligence in education while keeping paper as a central element and utilizing technology to optimize the study experience.”
JandaIA offers features such as automatic summaries, personalized study suggestions, and schedule organization, making it a valuable tool for students and educators alike. The app is free and accessible, aiming to boost productivity and personalization in the learning process.
In addition to the educational content, Bett Brasil will host over 330 exhibiting brands, showcasing solutions ranging from AI-based technologies to socio-emotional tools and gamification systems. This variety reflects the diverse needs and innovations within the educational landscape.
The Bett Conecta program, which facilitates networking opportunities, generated more than 800 meetings with around 250 buyers in 2024, demonstrating the event’s role in fostering collaborations within the educational sector.
Among the distinguished speakers at the event are Dr. Phil Lambert from the University of Sydney, João Victor Motta, director of Youth Labor Policies at the Ministry of Labor and Employment, and Dr. Seiji Isotani from the University of São Paulo. Their participation underscores the event's commitment to bringing together thought leaders to discuss the future of education.
This year also marks the launch of the Bett Brasil Edtech Awards, which recognizes innovative startups in the education sector. The awards will be announced on May 1, 2025, at 2 PM in the Arena Startups, with entries categorized based on the development stage of the startups.
Furthermore, Bett Brasil has partnered with the Metropolitan Union of Colleges and Universities (FMU) to provide 30 students with free access to the fair. These students will engage in pedagogical activities designed to enhance their understanding of contemporary educational challenges and opportunities.
The fair promises to be a vibrant hub of knowledge, innovation, and collaboration, providing educators, students, and industry professionals with the tools and insights needed to navigate the evolving educational landscape. With its rich programming and focus on critical themes, Bett Brasil 2025 is poised to make a significant impact on the future of education in Brazil and beyond.
