Benito Juárez Scholarships Begin Distribution For Students

More than 1.5 million students will collect their support cards through April 30.

Starting March 24, 2025, Mexican students from public education institutions will begin receiving their Benito Juárez Scholarship cards. More than 1.5 million students who registered in February are expected to benefit from this initiative, designed to support students of all levels.

In a bid to boost educational access, the Mexican federal government outlined the distribution process for these financial aid cards. Beneficiaries, including high school and higher education students enrolled in public schooling, will have the opportunity to collect their cards from March 24 to April 30, 2025, through Banco del Bienestar branches or designated delivery points.

Students eager to learn about the timing and location of their card pickup can do so through the official scholarship status checker. To do this, they must have their CURP (Unique Population Registry Code) ready, which can be easily obtained through the government’s website. By accessing the official scholarship status tracking site, students can input their CURP and check the date and time for their card collection.

Additionally, for minors, it’s mandatory to be accompanied by a parent or guardian when picking up the card. Both the students and their accompanying adults must present appropriate identification during the distribution process to ensure a smooth pickup.

The purpose of the Benito Juárez Scholarship is to offer financial assistance to students from low-income families, helping them continue their education. According to Mexican Secretary of Education Mario Delgado, the support for high school students will total $3,800 pesos ($1,900 per bimonthly installment), while those in higher education under the Jóvenes Escribiendo el Futuro program will receive $11,600 pesos ($5,800 per bimonthly installment).

Moreover, beneficiaries receiving their cards within this distribution period will also enjoy a double payment, covering both the January-February and March-April bimonthly periods. This financial boost is seen as a critical step in alleviating the educational challenges faced by many students.

Students and their families are encouraged to remain informed by checking the scholarship status regularly and following the official channels for further updates. With the significant number of students set to benefit from this initiative, the government hopes to make a positive impact on educational accessibility and equity throughout Mexico.
