Benito Juárez Scholarship Program Set For April Payments

Students across Mexico will receive crucial financial support to continue their education this April.

The Benito Juárez Scholarship program is gearing up for a significant disbursement in April 2025, aiming to support millions of Mexican students across various educational levels. The National Coordination of Benito Juárez Well-being Scholarships has been actively working to deliver payment cards and disperse funds for the first and second bimesters of the year, a crucial initiative for students who rely on this financial aid to continue their education.

As part of this program, students in basic education, upper secondary education, and higher education will receive financial support that varies by educational level. Specifically, students in basic and upper secondary education will each receive $1,900 pesos every two months, while those in higher education will benefit from a scholarship of $5,800 pesos every two months. This structured financial assistance is designed to alleviate the economic burden on families, allowing students to focus on their academic pursuits.

For new upper secondary students, there’s an added incentive: they will receive a double payment of $3,800 pesos. This initiative was confirmed by Mario Delgado, Secretary of Public Education (SEP), who emphasized that this support is aimed at ensuring that new beneficiaries receive the full financial backing necessary for their first cycle of studies.

The upcoming payments are scheduled for April 2025, covering the bimesters of January-February and March-April. To facilitate the distribution, payments will be staggered based on the initial letter of the students' last names. This method aims to streamline the process and ensure that all beneficiaries receive their funds promptly. The exact payment schedule is expected to be announced by March 31, 2025, or in the early days of April, allowing students to prepare accordingly.

More than 1.5 million students registered for the Benito Juárez Scholarship between February 5 and February 28, 2025. This substantial number reflects the program's importance in providing educational access to students from all backgrounds, particularly those facing financial challenges. The scholarship not only guarantees access to educational resources but also plays a pivotal role in fostering academic continuity for these young individuals.

Students and beneficiaries are encouraged to stay informed about the payment details and to regularly check the official program website for updates. This can be done through the Estatus Finder available on the Benito Juárez Scholarship website, where students can enter their CURP to verify their payment status and the delivery date of their cards.

As the distribution of payment cards begins, students are reminded to prepare the necessary documents to collect their funds. These include an official identification and, for minors, the presence of a parent or guardian with their identification and a document proving their relationship. The distribution of these cards started on March 24, 2025, and will continue until April 30, 2025, ensuring that all eligible students receive their financial support in a timely manner.

The Benito Juárez Scholarship program represents a significant federal initiative aimed at securing educational opportunities for Mexican youth, from basic education through higher education. By providing essential financial support, the program helps to mitigate the economic barriers that can hinder students' academic journeys.

In summary, the Benito Juárez Scholarship program is poised to make a substantial impact this April, with critical financial support for millions of students. The double payment initiative for new upper secondary students underscores the government's commitment to fostering educational equity and ensuring that all students have the resources they need to succeed.
