She was born on August 25, 1932, to Thomas Edward Rahr and Kathryn Louise (Nikolaus) Rahr. She spent the majority of her life committed to her family and community, having graduated from Wheeling High School in 1950 and worked for H. E. Neumann Company. Following her marriage to high school sweetheart Elwood (Eddie) Becker, the couple moved to Florida to be closer to their growing family. Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, two children, and four grandchildren, all of whom she adored deeply. She will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling, with her family at her side, remembering the unconditional love she shared.
