Silvia Galván's battle with cancer ends, leaving her family and fans in mourning.

Silvia Galván, a beloved stylist known as the "estilista de las estrellas," passed away on April 16, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving the Mexican entertainment world in mourning. Her death came just over a month after she was diagnosed with advanced stage stomach cancer, a diagnosis that shocked many who admired her talent and spirit.

Galván's family confirmed the news of her passing in a heartfelt statement released on social media. "With deep sorrow and great sadness, we announce the death of Silvia Galván, an exemplary woman whose life was an inspiration to many," the statement read. The family emphasized her strength and faith, stating, "More than her professional work, Silvia was a woman of faith, whose spirituality and resilience guided every step of her journey. Today, we deeply regret her departure, but we are certain that her soul enjoys eternal light."

During her funeral, her daughters, Jessica and Erika Galván, shared poignant details about their mother's battle with cancer and her final days. Jessica expressed gratitude for the public's support, stating, "Thank you for all the affection you showed my mom, for all the prayers since her illness was made public. She loved reading the messages of love and support."

Silvia Galván's journey with cancer began in March 2025 when she underwent emergency surgery due to a perforation in her stomach. Following the surgery, she was diagnosed with advanced stomach cancer. Despite being given a grim prognosis, her family remained hopeful. Jessica recalled, "When we received the diagnosis, we were given a very bad prognosis, but my mom was a fighter. She said, 'I’m not going to give up, and if there’s a treatment option, we will pursue it.'" This tenacity characterized her approach to her illness.

In the weeks following her diagnosis, Galván appeared to be in good spirits. She maintained her routine, exercising daily and spending quality time with her family. Jessica noted, "From the day she was diagnosed until the day before her death, she was in perfect condition. She was only being fed through a feeding tube, but she was active and happy. I started to think that maybe things would work out after all."

However, tragedy struck when she experienced a rapid decline in health. On April 15, she underwent a procedure for an inflamed kidney, and the following day, she received chemotherapy. Unfortunately, her body could not withstand the treatments, and she suffered a heart attack. Jessica recounted, "The only day she felt strong was the day after the chemotherapy, but then she began to feel very bad, and that’s when she had a heart attack."

Throughout her illness, Galván remained positive and hopeful. Her daughters described her as a woman of great faith who faced her challenges without fear. "She would say, 'I'm not ready, but I'm prepared.' She said this every day, giving us hope and showing no resentment towards anyone or even God," Jessica shared.

Silvia Galván's legacy in the beauty and styling industry is undeniable. She worked on numerous high-profile productions for Televisa, including popular shows like 'Cuéntamelo Ya!' and 'Hoy.' Her dedication to her craft and her passion for making others feel beautiful earned her the title of the "stylist of the stars," and she was cherished by many in the entertainment community.

As her family navigates the grief of their loss, they also celebrate her life and the impact she had on those around her. Jessica and Erika confirmed that they would continue their mother's legacy by managing her salons, ensuring that her essence lives on in the business she built. "She left everything arranged regarding her will, and we will honor her legacy and keep her spirit alive in our work," Jessica declared.

Silvia Galván's passing has left a significant void in the hearts of her family, friends, and fans. As they remember her strength, talent, and unwavering spirit, many will continue to share stories of her kindness and dedication to her craft.
