Beloved Community Leader Sérgio Pitassi Passes Away

Sérgio Dênis Pitassi, known as Serginho, leaves behind a legacy of service and dedication.

On March 22, 2025, the community of Angustura lost a beloved member, Sérgio Dênis Pitassi, affectionately known as Serginho Pitassi. Born on August 3, 1953, he spent his life in service to his community and made a lasting impact as a retired municipal public servant.

Throughout his tenure at the Prefeitura Municipal de Além Paraíba, Pitassi was recognized for his dedication and attention to detail, earning him accolades from all the heads of the municipal executive who had the pleasure of working with him. Colleagues described him as a vital force in establishing the Associação dos Servidores Públicos Municipais de Além Paraíba, now known as the Sindicato dos Servidores Públicos Municipais de Além Paraíba, or SINSERMAP.

Pitassi was married to Maria Lúcia Saviolo Pitassi, an educator also from Angustura. Together, they raised two sons, Dênis and Bruno, and enjoyed a close family life that included being loving grandparents to their granddaughters, Yasmin and Júlia.

News of his passing reverberated through Angustura, where residents gathered to pay their respects and share memories of the man who had given so much to the community. Pitassi's contributions to local governance and civic organization are remembered fondly, painting a picture of a devoted servant whose work had tangible effects on the lives of many.

The funeral service for Serginho will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at the Municipal Cemetery of Angustura. Friends and family are expected to gather at his home on Rua Manoel Moutinho da Rucha, also known as Rua do Vai e Volta, to pay their last respects before he is laid to rest.
