Beca Rita Cetina 2025 Payments Begin This Week

Economic support for public secondary school students continues with scheduled payments through the Banco del Bienestar.

The Beca Rita Cetina 2025 program continues to disburse economic support to public secondary school students across Mexico. From Monday, April 21, 2025, to Friday, April 25, 2025, the second deposit of the year, corresponding to the May-June bimester, will be made, providing 1,900 pesos per student. This initiative was launched in October of last year as a strategy by the Mexican government to combat school dropout rates, particularly due to financial constraints.

The Beca Rita Cetina aims to equip students with the necessary tools to continue their academic journey, offering bimonthly support directly through the Banco del Bienestar. According to the Secretaría de Educación Pública (SEP) and the National Coordination of Scholarships for Well-Being, the payment schedule for this week is as follows:

  • Monday, April 21: Last names starting with P, Q

  • Tuesday, April 22: Last names starting with R

  • Wednesday, April 23: Last names starting with R

  • Thursday, April 24: Last names starting with S

  • Friday, April 25: Last names starting with T, U, V

The deposits are made directly to the Banco del Bienestar cards that were distributed in schools during February and March. Over five million public secondary students registered for this support during an online registration process in November and December of last year, according to official figures from the SEP. The 1,900 pesos bimonthly amount is delivered directly and without intermediaries.

Authorities have reiterated that no personal or banking information is required for any transactions related to this program, urging beneficiaries to report any fraud attempts through official channels. The disbursement process is free and entirely transparent.

In summary, the Beca Rita Cetina is part of a series of federal government actions aimed at improving access to education and student retention, with a particular focus on vulnerable sectors. The continuation of these payments represents a direct investment in the future of millions of young people in Mexico.

As the payment schedule progresses, students receiving the Beca Rita Cetina in April will have the opportunity to benefit from two different payment amounts this month. The normal payment consists of 1,900 pesos per family, plus an additional 700 pesos per student. In contrast, students in the states of Durango and Veracruz will receive a double payment totaling 3,800 pesos due to upcoming elections on June 1, 2025. This advance payment is designed to avoid interruptions in the program during the electoral period.

Julio León, National Coordinator of Scholarships for Well-Being, announced that payments for the periods of March-April and May-June will be expedited for beneficiaries in these two states. This decision aims to ensure that students can continue to receive their financial support without disruption as the electoral process approaches.

For students who have successfully registered for the Beca Rita Cetina but have not yet received their Banco del Bienestar card, it is important to note that they will not be able to access the economic support being offered this month. However, the operational rules state that the funds will remain frozen until the card is delivered, allowing beneficiaries to access their payments once they have the necessary card.

In case beneficiaries experience delays in receiving their payments, it is advisable to check the following potential issues: whether they have verified their card, whether they have changed the PIN of the Banco del Bienestar card, among other factors. If the designated payment date has passed and they have not received their funds, beneficiaries can call the Beca Rita Cetina hotline at 55-11-62-03-00. The hotline operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

The payment schedule for the Beca Benito Juárez and Beca Rita Cetina resumes this week, following a pause during the Holy Week holidays. Payments will be made from April 21, 2025, to April 28, 2025, in alphabetical order based on the first letter of the beneficiaries' last names. The last day of disbursement is Monday, April 28, 2025.

Students whose last names begin with letters A to O have already received their Beca Rita Cetina or Benito Juárez payments, which began on April 1, 2025. For those waiting for their payments from April 21 to April 28, the schedule is as follows:

  • Letters P, Q: Monday, April 21, 2025

  • Letter R: Tuesday, April 22, and Wednesday, April 23

  • Letter S: Thursday, April 24, 2025

  • Letters T, U, V: Friday, April 25, 2025

  • Letters W, X, Y, Z: Monday, April 28, 2025

The Beca Rita Cetina aims to support secondary school students to prevent them from abandoning their studies. The program's bimonthly payments are essential for many families, providing crucial financial assistance to ensure that students can continue their education.

In conclusion, the Beca Rita Cetina not only represents a financial lifeline for students but also reflects the government's commitment to enhancing educational opportunities for all, particularly in vulnerable communities. As the program continues to evolve and adapt to the needs of students, it remains a vital component of Mexico's educational landscape.
