Beca Benito Juárez Payments Advance Amid System Maintenance

Beneficiaries receive updates on scholarship payments as system issues persist

The Coordinación Nacional de Becas para el Bienestar Benito Juárez (CNBBBJ) has announced that the status checker for scholarship beneficiaries will remain under maintenance until further notice. This announcement, made via social media, was confirmed by Julio Cesar León Trujillo, the coordinator of the scholarships. He stated that beneficiaries of the Rita Cetina and Benito Juárez scholarships have already been informed of their payment dates for the upcoming financial support, as the payment schedule for the March-April bimestre was shared on April 1, 2025.

However, the ongoing maintenance of the status checker significantly impacts high school and university students who registered for the Educación Universal Media Superior and Jóvenes Escribiendo el Futuro scholarships. These students are currently waiting for details regarding the date and location for the delivery of their Banco del Bienestar cards. In light of this situation, DeDinero will explain how these students can find out when they will receive their Banco del Bienestar cards for accessing their financial support.

According to a post by Julio Cesar León Trujillo, the delivery of Banco del Bienestar cards for high school students will commence in a few days. Schools where these students are enrolled will announce the details regarding the distribution. Furthermore, once beneficiaries receive their cards, they will also be credited the amounts corresponding to the January-February and March-April bimesters, totaling 3,088 pesos. This amount comes from the bimestral payments of 1,900 pesos that these scholarship recipients receive.

León Trujillo emphasized that students registered for the Jóvenes Escribiendo el Futuro scholarship should pay close attention to announcements made on his X account and the updates provided by the CNBBBJ through their digital channels. Notably, when these beneficiaries receive their cards, they will also benefit from a double payment, amounting to 11,600 pesos.

In addition, the Secretaría de Educación Pública (SEP) is progressing with the payments for the second bimestre (March-April) of the Becas de Educación Básica "Rita Cetina" as per the 2025 payment schedule. Beneficiaries of the three scholarship programs in Durango will receive an advanced payment for the third bimestre (May-June) due to the electoral processes scheduled for June 1, 2025.

For the Beca Universal de Educación Básica "Rita Cetina," a total of 14,934 million 430 thousand 300 pesos has been distributed to benefit 8 million 567 thousand 504 scholarship recipients. Additionally, 2.5 million new Banco del Bienestar cards have been issued to an equal number of families of secondary school students, facilitated through 31,084 informational assemblies held nationwide.

In the context of the Beca Universal de Educación Media Superior, 4 million 64 thousand 815 students received a total of 8,348 million 579 thousand 100 pesos. Meanwhile, 409 thousand 419 beneficiaries of the Jóvenes Escribiendo el Futuro scholarship received a total of 2,583 million 354 thousand 800 pesos during the first four months of 2025.

As the payments for the second bimestre of the Beca Benito Juárez continue according to the official payment schedule established for 2025, today, April 14, 2025, beneficiaries whose first last name begins with the letter M are set to receive their economic support. This financial assistance is part of the Mexican government's efforts to ensure that students at the basic, high school, and university levels can continue their studies without interruption due to financial difficulties.

How are payments processed? According to the official payment schedule, the distribution of resources is carried out based on the initial letter of the beneficiary's first last name. This method aims to optimize logistics and prevent overcrowding, allowing students and their families to receive support in an orderly and efficient manner. For those whose last names start with the letter M, payments will be made today, and they can check their deposits through the Banco del Bienestar app or on the official Becas Benito Juárez platform.

Beneficiaries must ensure that their Banco del Bienestar card is active. If they have not yet received it, they can check the status of their application on the Status Checker available on the program's official website. Additionally, parents and guardians are reminded to stay alert for notifications and adhere to the assigned dates based on their last names to avoid delays.

The Beca Benito Juárez is one of the primary strategies of the Mexican government to support students in vulnerable situations. Beneficiaries of this program receive 1,900 pesos bimonthly to continue their education. This support is provided to students across various educational levels, aiming to reduce economic barriers and promote equitable access to education.

The payment schedule for the Beca Benito Juárez in April 2025 is as follows:

  • Monday, April 14: letter M

  • Tuesday, April 15: letter M (continuation)

  • Wednesday, April 16: letters N, Ñ, O

  • Monday, April 21 and Tuesday, April 22: letters P, Q

  • Wednesday, April 23: letter R

  • Thursday, April 24: letter S

  • Friday, April 25: letters T, U, V

  • Monday, April 28: letters W, X, Y, Z

Beneficiaries of the Beca Benito Juárez should follow this schedule to know when they can collect their corresponding support. If they have not received it, they can consult the status of their application in the Status Checker available on the official program site.
