Başakşehir And Kasımpaşa Battle To 2-2 Draw

On the 17th week of the Trendyol Süper Lig, İstanbul Başakşehir faced off against Kasımpaşa, concluding with an exhilarating 2-2 draw at the Başakşehir Fatih Terim Stadium on December 23, 2024. The match showcased both teams' determination, thrilling fans with twists and turns across the pitch.

The second half saw Kasımpaşa ramp up their efforts, determined to equalize. The turning point came during the 68th minute when Gökhan Gül unleashed an impressive strike from the edge of the box, finding the corner of the net and leveling the score at 2-2.

With the match firmly tied, both teams fought diligently for the winning goal. Piatek continued to press for more chances, including one near miss from close range and another shot deflected off Kasımpaşa’s goalkeeper, Gianniotis. Regardless of their relentless efforts, the match closed at 2-2, marking the second consecutive draw for both teams.

This draw adds to Başakşehir’s tally, bringing their points to 23 and placing them seventh on the Süper Lig table. Kasımpaşa, who had previously been performing solidly, is now on 20 points, positioned tenth. Following this match, Başakşehir looks forward to their next challenge against Adana Demirspor, whereas Kasımpaşa prepares for their fixture against Gaziantep FK at home.
