BANDAI Announces Six New Starter Decks For ONE PIECE Card Game

Each deck launches on June 28, 2025, easing entry for new players with pre-assembled 50-card collections.

BANDAI has announced the upcoming launch of six new Starter Decks for the ONE PIECE Card Game, each set to release on June 28, 2025. Aimed primarily at newcomers to the trading card game (TCG) scene, these decks are structured to be instantly playable without any modifications, making them perfect for those just starting their adventure.

Among the six decks, players will find the Black Marshall D. Teach Starter Deck [ST-27], the Blue Buggy Starter Deck [ST-25], the Green/Yellow Yamato Starter Deck [ST-28], the Purple/Black Monkey D. Luffy Starter Deck [ST-26], and the yet-to-be-titled Starter Deck ST-22, which will include cards featuring iconic characters such as Portgas D. Ace and Edward Newgate.

The Black Marshall D. Teach Starter Deck [ST-27] is set to transition from the previously released Black Smoker Starter Deck [ST-19]. Retailing for 550 JPY (approximately US$3.70), this 50-card deck combines accessibility with strategic gameplay, catering to those uncertain about how to navigate the world of TCGs. “BANDAI aims to make the TCG experience more approachable for beginners,” said the company during the announcement.

Simultaneously, the Blue Buggy Starter Deck [ST-25] will replace the Blue Donquixote Doflamingo Starter Deck [ST-17]. Also priced at 550 JPY, this deck allows players to fully engage with the game from the get-go without any need for alterations.

Notably, the Green/Yellow Yamato Starter Deck [ST-28] will be one of two color-combination decks being released. This deck follows the tradition of its predecessor, the Yellow Charlotte Katakuri Starter Deck [ST-20], providing new players with the ability to mix and match strategies from the two colors. Priced at the same affordable 550 JPY, it promises to enrich gameplay for beginners.

The Purple/Black Monkey D. Luffy Starter Deck [ST-26], taking the baton from the Purple Monkey D. Luffy Starter Deck [ST-18], maintains the 550 JPY price point, ensuring easy access for newcomers. It is also focused on teaching fundamental TCG strategies through its character-centric gameplay.

While some details are still under wraps, the Starter Deck ST-22 will feature artwork of legendary characters Portgas D. Ace and Edward Newgate. Currently, no price or release date has been confirmed, but anticipation is building among fans eager for more information as the June release approaches.

To sum it up, all six Starter Decks are set to launch on June 28, 2025, enhancing the accessibility of the ONE PIECE Card Game for new players. Each offers strategic entry points at just 550 JPY (~US$3.70), promising to refine the gaming experience as players immerse themselves within the vibrant world of ONE PIECE.
