Balver Feriencamp 2025 And Anradeln Event Set For Summer

Balve and Prignitz prepare for exciting summer activities for families and cyclists

The city of Balve is gearing up for an exciting summer with the organization of the Balver Feriencamp 2025, set to take place from July 14 to August 1 at the Schulzentrum "Am Krumpaul." This three-week holiday program promises to engage children with a variety of workshops and activities, thanks to the efforts of numerous volunteers from local organizations including OGS, the youth center, the library, and the swimming pool.

Registration for the Balver Feriencamp 2025 will open on April 28 and close on May 9, 2025, via the city of Balve's official website. Parents are encouraged to register their children early and to create an account with BundID, as the previously used NRW service account is no longer available. “Please discuss with your child the desired workshops beforehand. At least three workshops must be selected for each week to ensure that the children's preferences are considered,” said the Balve Department of Schools, Kitas, and Youth.

Children will have the chance to participate in a colorful array of workshops, including sports activities such as ball games, cycling, circus training, swimming, dancing, and tennis. But it’s not just about sports; the camp also features popular cooking and baking workshops, as well as creative activities in areas like theater, hobby horsing, escape games, and marble run construction. The library will host workshops focused on exploring the world of books.

The participation fee is set at 50 euros per week, which includes a daily warm lunch. Payments must be received by the city treasury of Balve by May 14, 2025, to confirm registration. Parents are reminded to include their child's name and the appropriate payment reference when making the transfer. If there are any questions or further information needed, a personal consultation will be available on May 6 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the OGS Balve, located at Brucknerweg 7, 58802 Balve. However, no registrations will be processed on this date.

In addition, the city offers assistance for those who may find it difficult to register online. On April 30 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and on May 5 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., parents can visit the town hall for help with online registration. “Please sign up at the citizens' office. A colleague will assist you with the registration process,” the camp team expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming event.

Meanwhile, on May 10, 2025, the Tourism Association Prignitz will host the 23rd Anradeln, a cycling event that promises to be a highlight of the spring season. Participants will embark on a scenic ride from eleven different locations, converging at the big bicycle festival in Kyritz at the Untersee, recognized as one of Brandenburg's most beautiful cycling destinations.

Jacqueline Fuhrmann, cycling coordinator for the Tourism Association, emphasized the community spirit of the event, stating, “Discovering Prignitz together and having nice conversations along the way is what makes Anradeln so special.” Following a successful turnout of nearly 400 participants in Wittstock/Dosse last year, the event is expected to draw even more cyclists this time around.

The festivities at the Untersee will include regional delicacies, live music, participatory activities, and a tombola featuring exciting prizes. Participants will also have the chance to win awards for the strongest groups and the youngest and oldest cyclists. The Sparkassen Prignitz and Ostprignitz-Ruppin will host attractive raffles, with prizes including a bicycle worth 500 euros, bicycle equipment valued at 150 euros, and a spring check for a bicycle worth 50 euros.

Families can look forward to a fun day out, with activities designed to keep children entertained while adults relax and enjoy the atmosphere by the lake. “Experience the Prignitz on two wheels – a unique opportunity to discover the region and enjoy the spring,” the Tourism Association encourages potential participants.

The Prignitz region, known for its picturesque landscapes, well-maintained cycling paths, and historical sights, is an ideal location for cycling tourism. Beyond the Anradeln event, there are numerous opportunities for cyclists to explore the area, whether they prefer leisurely rides or more challenging routes. The Prignitz truly offers something for every cyclist.

As the summer approaches, both the Balver Feriencamp and the Anradeln event represent the community's commitment to providing enriching experiences for children and families alike. With engaging activities and the beauty of the Prignitz region on display, these events promise to be memorable highlights of the 2025 calendar.
