Baile Da Vogue 2025 Dazzles With Glamorous Fashion

The luxurious event honors fashion icons at Rio's iconic Copacabana Palace, celebrating Vogue Brazil's 50th anniversary.

The glamorous Baile da Vogue 2025 took place on February 22 at the iconic Copacabana Palace, celebrating its 20th edition under the theme 'Voguelândia: O Fantástico Mundo da Moda.' The event drew about 1,800 guests, comprising celebrities, influencers, and fashion enthusiasts, who flaunted their extravagant costumes inspired by iconic fashion figures from history.

Notable attendees of the gala included the stunning singer IZA, who was making her much-anticipated return to the stage after the birth of her daughter, Nala. She dazzled on the red carpet with her magnificent Cher-inspired ensemble. IZA shared her enthusiasm with Vogue Brasil, stating, "I’m nervous because it’s my first time singing since Nala was born, but I’m here to have fun." She went on to reveal, "Every time I think about stage costumes, I can't help but think about Cher. This look is a recreation of Cher's outfit for Cleopatra," giving fans a glimpse of her upcoming musical project.

The Baile da Vogue has always been known for its extravagant themes, and this year was no different. Joining IZA on the evening were the likes of Yasmin Brunet, who opened up about the intense scrutiny she faces surrounding her body image. "I lost 15 kg amid treatment for lipedema. I don’t mind the nasty comments — some even make me laugh," she expressed candidly, reflecting on how she handles criticism.

This annual gala not only serves as one of the most stylish pre-Carnival events but also marks the celebration of Vogue Brazil's 50th anniversary. Paula Merlo, director of Vogue’s content, explained the event's theme, stating, "Voguelândia is where fashion meets fantasy. This year's costume theme is Extraordinary Fashionistas.” This theme encouraged guests to get creative, bringing to life their interpretations through fashion.

The red carpet was alive with stunning creations. Ticiane Pinheiro wowed onlookers with her gown inspired by Carrie Bradshaw's wedding dress from 'Sex and the City,' crafted by Vitor Zerbinato. Monique Alfradique paid homage to Madonna by recreatings the iconic 'Cone Bra' from Jean Paul Gaultier, which is part of the rich history of pop culture.

One of the standout looks came from Mileide Mihaile. She graced the event with a breathtaking dress adorned with 10,000 crystals, taking 230 hours to make. Mileide expressed her excitement: "It’s incredible to display such beautiful work with so many details and so much effort behind it!" Reflecting on the inspiration for her look, she paid homage to the legendary Cher, highlighting the essence of bold originality the event cherishes.

Another guest, Camila Pudim, brought modern sparkle to the evening, showcasing body art embellished with 15,000 purple crystals, inspired by Doja Cat’s couture runway. Influencer Jéssica Cardoso turned heads with her modern twist on Cher’s 1988 Oscar look, rekindling the glamour of the 80s.

The evening was not just about fashion; it also emphasized community and celebration as celebrities came together to contribute to the festive ambiance of Carnival. The star-studded affair was closed to the public but streamed live on the Vogue Brasil Instagram, allowing viewers to participate from home.

The Baile da Vogue has established itself not only as a trendsetting event but also as an important cultural milestone celebrating the intersection of fashion, art, and history. With its stunning displays of creativity and bold self-expression, attendees continue to push the boundaries of fashion. This gathering not only champions individual style but also commemorates 50 years of Vogue Brazil's influence on the fashion industry.

Each outfit seen on the attendees tells its own story, cementing the Baile da Vogue 2025 as yet another unforgettable chapter within Rio de Janeiro’s vibrant carnival traditions.
