Over 60 racers compete across categories at the season-ending speed races

Under the vibrant lights of Bahrain, the atmosphere was electric as the Bahrain Motorcycle Committee (BMC), under the auspices of the Bahrain Motor Federation (BMF), hosted the thrilling final round of speed races for the 2024/2025 season. This grand event saw the participation of over 60 racers hailing from various Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, including Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, showcasing impressive talent and camaraderie.

The competition was fierce, with racers vying for top honors across four main categories: the Street Fight Bike 9.5, Index Bike 8.5, Pro Street Bike, and Outlaw Bike categories. Each of these divisions delivered intense rivalries and spirited contests, reflecting the high level of motorsport within the region.

Beginning with the Street Fight Bike 9.5 category, it was Bahraini racer Mohammed Al-Taitoon who seized the top spot, demonstrating his skill and speed throughout the day. He was followed closely by his compatriot, Mohammed Khaled Al-Balooshi, who secured second place, and another Bahraini, Mohammed Al-Banki, who claimed third. The competitive spirit was palpable as racers pushed their limits on the track.

Moving to the Index Bike 8.5 category, it was once again the local talent who shone brightly. Mohammed Al-Banki not only excelled but also captured first place, enhancing his reputation as one of Bahrain's finest riders. He was closely followed by Palestinian racer Fadi Abu Jamoos, who took second place, with Bahraini racer Ali Bahram taking third, each showing great tenacity and prowess.

With the Pro Street Bike category underway, Saudi racer Khaled Al-Dossari displayed exceptional skill, earning him the first position, proving his dominance on the track. He was trailed by compatriot Mashari Al-Turki, who finished second, and Bahraini Nasser Bu Husher, who achieved third place, showcasing the competitiveness of the event.

Finally, the Outlaw Bike category saw Saudi racer Jihad Al-Jamal emerge victorious, followed by Khaled Al-Dossari again taking second, and Kuwaiti racer Saad Turki finishing third. Their performances exemplified the thrilling nature of the event, as racers took on the challenges and showcased their abilities.

At the culmination of the exciting races, Ayesh Al-Awadhi, a member of the Board of Directors for the Bahrain Motor Federation and head of the Drag Racing Committee, conducted the prize-giving ceremony. He expressed immense satisfaction with the organization of the event and the remarkable participation from racers all over the GCC. "This final round for the season has been the culmination of major successes achieved throughout the season. We are proud of the participation of over 60 competitors from various Gulf Cooperation Council countries, reflecting the advanced level of motorsport in the region. We congratulate the winners across all categories and thank everyone for their presence and active participation. We are committed to continuously developing drag racing events here in Bahrain and look forward to another season filled with challenges and accomplishments for our competitors. Thanks are also owed to all teams and officials for their tremendous efforts ensuring the success of this sporting event,” he remarked.

The BMC's commitment to fostering racing opportunities within Bahrain and the GCC is evident, and the enthusiasm shown by both the participants and spectators alike bodes well for the future of motorsports in the region. With conversations about the upcoming season already swirling, expectations run high for even more exhilarating competitions.
