JAKARTA - This year's Ramadan has turned into a bustling period for Ayu Ting Ting, who is grappling with a hectic shooting schedule. "Yes, if Ramadan is busy, yes. Since the abyss is open, we quickly have to continue shooting other things, but it's still at Trans7," she revealed on March 18, 2025, in the Tebet area of South Jakarta.
Ayu, a prominent Indonesian celebrity, finds herself busier than usual, managing various filming projects. Despite her packed schedule, she looks forward to the holiday season. "Eid will be a holiday; God is pleased with that," she said. She planned family activities during Eid to relieve the saturation that comes after a demanding Ramadan.
However, when pressed about her specific vacation plans, Ayu chose to keep them under wraps, saying, "Yes, I do have plans," emphasizing the importance of spending quality time with her children, particularly since she usually can't break her fast at home during the holy month due to her commitments.
"For me, it's essential to take the children out during their break because I have never been able to break my fast at home this Ramadan. When my children are on break, it's crucial to take them out because they have been deprived of time with me," she explained. Ayu has noticed that as her son grows, he has begun to express his feelings more emphatically about their limited time together.
"So, my son is older now, and he can already voice his complaints; yes, if he’s on vacation, we should be able to, if we have provisions. Fortunately, he understands that I have supplies for us; yes, we are going out," she added, hinting at her desire to spend more time with her children over the holidays.
In Medan, North Sumatra, another significant aspect of the festive season is being addressed by Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, who emphasized that transportation restrictions during the 2025 Eid homecoming are essential. The upcoming Ramadan Safari event at Al Mashun Grand Mosque on March 22, 2025, focused on collaboration among the police, military, religious leaders, and the community to guarantee a secure and orderly return for travelers.
"The synergy between TNI, police, ulama, and the community is crucial to ensure safety, order, and smooth return flows," General Prabowo stated during the launch of this event. He stressed that strict transportation restrictions would be enforced to alleviate traffic congestion and enhance travelers' safety.
Furthermore, the police have reinforced monitoring and patrolling of major routes and areas prone to accidents, showing a commitment to maintaining public order. "With the synergy of all parties, I am optimistic that stability of security and public order (kamtybmas) during the homecoming period will be maintained," General Prabowo said.
In addition to ensuring safe travels, the police chief also reviewed renovations at the Al Hidayah Mosque and engaged in community service activities, which included a health service targeting 1,000 beneficiaries. These services provide general medical assessments, dental check-ups, and assistance like glasses and crutches for those in need, reflecting a deep commitment to social welfare.
Moreover, 1,000 assistance packages containing rice, oil, and canned sardines were distributed to community residents, focusing on marginalized groups, including individuals with disabilities. "I hope this activity continues and brings benefits to the community, especially in maintaining the stability of public order," General Prabowo remarked, showing his dedication to societal welfare.
The Ramadan Safari event is a testament to the importance of cooperation among security forces, religious leaders, and the community in fostering a safe environment for both returnees and residents during the Eid celebrations.
As both Ayu Ting Ting and General Listyo Sigit Prabowo highlight the communal spirit of Ramadan and Eid, their stories weave a rich tapestry of family bonding and public safety. In Jakarta, the festive anticipation builds as families prepare for Eid, promoting unity and togetherness during this cherished season in Indonesia.
