According to reports, the new Niva Travel will likely adopt the same front-end design as the Lada e-Niva electric concept introduced at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in June of last year. The Lada Vesta is expected to increase by 37,000 rubles. Overall, the average price increase across the entire model range will be approximately 35,000 rubles.
The head of AvtoVAZ noted that this price adjustment is a necessary response to ongoing inflationary pressures. Earlier this year, prices for the Granta and Niva Legend models had already been revised upward. If the new prices are confirmed, the minimum cost for Lada Granta sedans will be 775,000 rubles, while the most equipped versions will reach up to 1.294 million rubles. Lada Vesta sedans will be priced from 1.277 million to 2.003 million rubles, with the Niva Legend offered between 1.093 million and 1.246 million rubles, and the Niva Travel ranging from 1.342 million to 1.667 million rubles.
Despite the anticipated price increases, Lada's sales have been experiencing a downturn amid a general decline in the automotive market. In April, AvtoVAZ's sales fell by a third, although the company's market share of new car sales increased from 28.5% to 30.3% during the first four months of the year. This shift can be attributed to the overall drop in demand across the sector.
