Attack On Titan: The Last Attack Now Streaming On Crunchyroll

Fans can finally watch the epic conclusion of the beloved anime series from home starting today.

The end has arrived—and it’s colossal. Attack on Titan: The Last Attack, the climactic conclusion to one of the most influential anime series of all time, is now streaming exclusively on Crunchyroll starting Thursday, April 17 at 5:00 PM PT. Bringing the final two episodes together into an emotionally devastating, high-impact cinematic omnibus, this special event clocks in at 145 minutes and delivers a no-holds-barred sendoff to Hajime Isayama’s decade-defining saga.

What began with a wall-shattering tragedy has become a global cultural phenomenon. Attack on Titan opened with a boy named Eren Jaeger witnessing the brutal death of his mother, igniting a deep, searing rage against the monstrous Titans. He vowed revenge—and that fury eventually spiraled into a world-altering ideology. Eren joined the Survey Corps and unlocked the terrifying power of the Titans himself. But the more he learned about the truth behind the walls and the secrets of the world, the more his mission changed. No longer just a soldier, Eren became a threat to the very existence of humanity.

In The Last Attack, Eren launches the “Rumbling,” a cataclysmic plan to annihilate all life beyond Paradis Island. As massive Titans thunder across continents, flattening everything in their path, Eren’s former friends—Mikasa, Armin, Levi, Reiner, and others—band together in a desperate attempt to stop him. Lines blur between hero and villain, loyalty and betrayal. What unfolds is not just a clash of ideals, but an emotionally searing finale that will leave fans debating long after the final frame.

Directed by Yuichiro Hayashi and animated by the powerhouse studio MAPPA, with haunting music by Kohta Yamamoto and Hiroyuki Sawano, The Last Attack delivers a sensory and emotional gut-punch that only Attack on Titan could deliver. The film stitches together Part 1 and Part 2 of The Final Chapters, which originally aired in March and November 2023, respectively. These episodes, serving as episodes 88 through 94, were emotional, action-packed, and pivotal in ending the story of Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and the rest of the Survey Corps.

As of April 17, 2025, Attack on Titan: The Last Attack is available to stream exclusively on Crunchyroll, with the stream dropping at 5 p.m. (PT). The film, which premiered in Japan on November 8, 2024, adapts the final two episodes of the anime TV series into a cinematic experience worthy of the big screen. An English dub starring Bryce Papenbrook as Eren Yeager is available, along with the original Japanese release with English subtitles.

Crunchyroll describes the series: "Humanity lived quietly behind massive walls built to protect themselves from the threat of monstrous creatures called Titans. Their century of peace was shattered by an attack on their city that left a young child, Eren Yeager, motherless and vowing revenge on the Titans. Years after joining the Survey Corps, Eren finds himself facing a deadly foe and ultimately gains a special ability that unveils a new truth about the world he knows… After venturing beyond the walls and separating from his comrades, Eren finds himself inspired by this new truth and plots the 'Rumbling,' a terrifying plan to eradicate every living thing in the world. With the fate of the world hanging in the balance, a motley crew of Eren’s former comrades and enemies scramble to halt his deadly mission. The only question is, can they stop him?"

The film debuted in U.S. theaters on February 10, 2025, and grossed a total of $2.5 million during its opening weekend. It previously debuted in Japan for a limited three-week theatrical run, earning nearly $1.6 million in just three days. The film features a new post-credits scene, which will also be making its way onto Crunchyroll. In this scene, Armin, Eren, and Mikasa, all wearing casual clothing, are shown in a movie theater having just watched the same film we have.

Despite the anime adaptation’s conclusion, series producer Tetsuya Kinoshita teased more Attack on Titan films “like The Last Attack” in the future, leaving many to wonder where the series will head next. During the recent debut of Attack on Titan – The Official Concert – Beyond the Walls World Tour in Los Angeles, Kinoshita took to the stage thanking fans for coming, before teasing the future of the franchise. “The story of Attack on Titan has concluded, but we’d like to continue planning and holding many more events in the future, such as movies like The Last Attack,” Kinoshita said.

This release allows longtime viewers to relive the intense, emotional finale in one cohesive 145-minute experience. Whether fans are watching it for the first time or re-watching to catch every emotional detail, this film is now the definitive way to close the book on one of anime’s most iconic series. It is more than just a recap; Attack on Titan: The Last Attack is a carefully curated and upgraded presentation of the anime's closing chapters.

The potential for more Attack on Titan movies is further backed up by the franchise receiving a new web portal this month. The new site also teased that more mysterious projects could be in the works. However, nothing has been officially confirmed yet.

As fans prepare to experience the final moments of this beloved franchise, they are reminded of the emotional weight the series has carried over the years. With its compelling characters, intricate plot, and philosophical themes, Attack on Titan has redefined what anime can achieve. The series first aired in 2013 and closed a decade later in 2023, leaving a legacy that will resonate with audiences for years to come.

As the credits roll on The Last Attack, viewers are encouraged to reflect on the journey of Eren and his friends, the choices they made, and the consequences of their actions. The only question left is: what will you rewatch first? Sound off with your thoughts on social media using #TheLastAttack and #AttackOnTitan!
