The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has officially declared the results for the Higher Secondary (HS) examinations today, April 30, 2025, at 9:00 AM. Students who appeared for the Class 12 board exams can now check their results on the official AHSEC website at ahsec.assam.gov.in, as well as on assamresult.in. This year's examinations were held from February 13 to March 17, 2025, with a total of 3,02,420 students participating across various streams including Arts, Science, Commerce, and Vocational.
In a press conference announcing the results, Ranoj Pegu, the state Education Minister, shared key statistics regarding the performance of students. The results indicate a pass percentage of 81.03% in the Arts stream, 84.88% in Science, 82.18% in Commerce, and 68.55% in Vocational courses. Students can access their results by visiting the official AHSEC website and entering their roll numbers. The process is straightforward: after navigating to the results section, students need to input their roll number and other credentials to view their marks. Additionally, students can also check their results through the mobile app ‘UPOLOBDHA’, available for download on the Google Play Store.
The results will provide detailed information including subject-wise marks, total marks, and the overall qualifying status. Students are advised to download and print their provisional mark sheets for future reference. However, the original mark sheets will be distributed through their respective schools at a later date.
For students who wish to challenge their results, AHSEC has outlined a rechecking process. Students can apply for rechecking of their answer scripts and obtain scanned copies by paying a fee of ₹500 per subject. The rechecking portal will open two days after the results are declared, allowing students to initiate the process easily.
In terms of gender-wise performance, female students outperformed their male counterparts across all streams. In the Arts stream, the female pass percentage was 82.95%, compared to 78.42% for males. Similarly, in Science, females had a pass percentage of 85.54% against 84.39% for males, while in Commerce, females scored 82.40% compared to males at 82.08%. In the Vocational stream, the female pass percentage stood at 74.39%, while the male percentage was 65.53%.
The significant number of students participating in this year's exams reflects the growing educational aspirations in Assam. The overall performance indicates a steady improvement compared to previous years. For instance, last year, the overall pass percentage was recorded at 88.64%, with the Science stream achieving the highest pass rate of 90.29%. However, this year’s results show a slight decline in overall performance, particularly in the Arts and Vocational streams.
Students are encouraged to verify their results carefully, ensuring that all personal details on their mark sheets are accurate. Any discrepancies should be reported to the AHSEC or their school authorities immediately. Furthermore, students who did not pass or appeared under certain subject categories will need to apply separately for a hard copy of their marksheet.
As the academic year progresses, students can now look forward to applying for college admissions, vocational courses, or other educational opportunities based on their results. The declaration of results marks a crucial step for many students as they transition to the next phase of their academic careers.
With the results now available, the focus will shift to the next steps for students, including potential rechecking, college applications, and exploring various career pathways. The AHSEC remains committed to supporting students in their educational journeys, ensuring they have the necessary resources and guidance.
