Asia Artist Awards 2024 Celebrates Musical And Acting Excellence

Star-studded event shines as artists like NewJeans and Jang Da Ah honored for their talent and performances

The 2024 Asia Artist Awards (AAA 2024) unfolded on December 27 at the IMPACT Challenger Hall 1-2 in Bangkok, Thailand, showcasing the vibrant talents of both musicians and actors across Asia. Hosted by Ryu Jun Yeol, Jang Won Young from IVE, and ZEROBASEONE's Sung Han Bin, the event was dotted with notable performances and heartfelt speeches, drawing significant attention from fans and media alike.

This year’s awards celebrated the achievements of various artists, with NewJeans being recognized for their hit song "How Sweet," which won the coveted Best Performance award. Their acceptance speech was animated, as they expressed immense gratitude for the honor. "We are truly thrilled to receive this award, especially because it's one we really wanted to give to our performance directors (PDs)," the group remarked. They highlighted the creativity and effort of their team, stating, "They've always put so much thoughtinto creating unique stage setups for every performance, and thanks to their hard work, we're overjoyed to accept this award. We’re also thankful to our dancers," reflecting their unity and appreciation within the performance arts.

Another touching moment of the night was when Jang Da Ah received the Rookie of the Year award for her outstanding performance in the TVING series "Pyramid Game." Her sister, Jang Won Young, was among the hosts and presented the award. The sibling interaction brought joy to the audience. "I’m so happy to give this significant award to my sister personally. I think our parents are probably watching and feeling very proud right now," Jang Won Young shared, capturing the emotional essence of family pride.

Jang Da Ah expressed her thoughts upon receiving the accolade, saying, "It’s an honor to greet you in front of our respected seniors and viewers. Thank you to the staff who always work so hard alongside me. This award is just the beginning for me..." Her remarks highlighted her humility and aspirations as she embarked on her acting career.

Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Soo Hyun starred prominently, each receiving the prestigious Daesang (Grand Prize) Actor of the Year award and Best Artist, respectively.
