A heartbreaking incident unfolded near Casa Grande, Arizona, as a 2-year-old boy died after a bounce house was caught by a strong gust of wind and carried away on Saturday. The Pinal County Sheriff's Office reported that around 5 p.m., multiple children were jumping and playing in the inflatable structure when a sudden gust lifted it off the ground and over into a neighboring property.
The child, later identified as Bodhi, was promptly taken to a nearby hospital; however, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. Another child, who was also playing in the bounce house, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated for a broken arm.
Bodhi's family is closely connected to the local firefighting community, as his father, Karl, serves as a firefighter in Phoenix. Phoenix Firehouse 25 shared that the family is expecting a new child next month, adding to the tragedy of their loss. In a statement posted on social media, the firehouse expressed their sorrow, stating, "To add to the unimaginable hell that they have been through the last 2 days, Karl and Cristy are expecting a child at the end of May."
