Arab Health 2025 Sparks Innovations And Collaborations

Leading healthcare organizations showcase advancements at the Dubai conference.

The Arab Health 2025 Conference is set to take place from January 27 to 30, 2025, at the Dubai World Trade Center, marking its 50th anniversary with significant participation from global healthcare leaders and innovators. The event is anticipated to draw around 60,000 healthcare professionals, providing them with insights and advancements pivotal for the healthcare industry.

This year's event will feature pivotal contributions from several organizations, including Paxman, LG Electronics, and the Pharmaceutical Export Promotion Council of India (PHARMEXCIL).

Paxman, collaborating with the Association of British HealthTech Industries, will present groundbreaking data on scalp cooling technology aimed at preventing chemotherapy-induced alopecia, often one of the most distressing side effects of cancer treatment. Their exclusive educational session entitled "Success in Scalp Cooling – Managing Chemotherapy-Induced Alopecia" will highlight how clinical teams can support patients facing this challenge, providing tools for enhanced management of their treatment effects.

The session is scheduled for January 28 from 12:15 PM to 1:30 PM at the ABHI Pavilion (Hall 2, Stand E30). During it, Anna Parker, Head of International at Paxman, will share findings from the largest-ever multicenter analysis studying scalp cooling's effectiveness across various chemotherapy regimens, which involved 7,424 patients from 68 hospitals and was published this year in The Oncologist.

Accompanying the presentation will be live demonstrations of the Paxman Scalp Cooling System, underscoring its operational simplicity and the importance of proper cap fitting for ensuring maximum patient comfort. Dr. Bassel M. Jallad, Haematologist and Medical Oncologist at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, will also contribute his perspectives on the importance of scalp cooling, elaborated through discussions on psychosocial impacts and implementation steps.

From healthcare innovations to technological enhancements, LG Electronics will showcase its latest advancements at Arab Health. The company will focus on its new medical display solutions—technology aimed at reducing radiation exposure, expediting image acquiring processes, and simplifying equipment maintenance. Their booth at Saeed Hall 2 S2.E30 will include various models of high-resolution monitors specialized for breast imaging and surgical applications.

LG’s premiering products include their 32-inch 4K surgical monitor with Mini LED technology and versatile diagnostic monitors ranging from 2MP to 12MP. With these displays, LG exemplifies its commitment to ensuring healthcare professionals can provide outstanding patient care through enhanced clarity and accuracy during clinical reviews.

Meanwhile, PHARMEXCIL will lead efforts to bolster Indian pharmaceutical exports and collaborations with the UAE. The organization is set to host the India Pavilion, which will be inaugurated by Satish Kumar Siven, Consul General of India to the UAE, showcasing the capabilities of 65 leading Indian pharmaceutical companies. Spanning from January 27 to 30, the pavilion serves as Indian companies' platform to highlight their innovations and products, thereby strengthening business ties within the MENA region.

Raja Bhanu, Director General of PHARMEXCIL, expressed the importance of this partnership, highlighting past collaborations and emphasizing the growing potential within the pharmaceutical sector. Through this exhibition, stakeholders within the healthcare industry are invited to engage with Indian innovators and explore the comprehensive possibilities within pharmaceutical manufacturing and development of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), formulations, and vaccines.

Overall, Arab Health 2025 promises to be not just a significant assembly of healthcare professionals but also a reflection of the relationship between technology and healthcare. The conference aims to stimulate conversations around innovations and partnerships, showcasing advancements meant to improve patient care and address challenges faced by healthcare professionals globally. By embracing cutting-edge technologies and nurturing international collaborations, participants at Arab Health will be poised to transform the future of healthcare across borders.
