Notably, these special AirPods cannot be purchased in Japan.

The AirPods 4 boasts the same functionality, performance, and pricing as the standard model but are packaged with specific designs celebrating the New Year. Consumers have the option to customize their AirPods with their choice of emoji, text, or numbers on Apple's website, giving them the chance to craft personalized audio devices, albeit the design differences from the special model.
