Antena 3 Dominates Saturday Viewership Ratings

The network secures strong ratings through its news and entertainment programming, reinforcing its leadership

Antena 3 continues to shine as the leader of Spanish television, securing its position with impressive viewer ratings during the weekend. The channel recorded a significant 9.7% share of the audience on Saturday, solidifying its dominance especially during the morning and afternoon slots.

This Saturday marked another big win for Antena 3, thanks to its compelling programming and effective hosting. The morning segment, led by popular shows, captured 10.2% of the viewing audience, contributing decisively to the channel's overall success.

"Antena 3 Noticias 1 FDS," presented by the well-regarded duo Matías Prats and Mónica Carrillo, was particularly noteworthy, achieving a whopping 20.6% share and attracting more than 1.8 million average viewers, with unique viewers soaring past 3 million. This exemplary performance not only showcases the team’s journalistic prowess but also reflects the audience’s strong connection with the news presented.

Antena 3 News continues to garner respect for its informative content and engaging storytelling, making it the go-to news source for many Spaniards. Following the success of the morning, the evening broadcast, "Antena 3 Noticias 2," also held its own, cementing its status as the second pillar of the channel's informational foundation by reaching 10.8% of the share and appealing to over 1 million viewers.

The entertainment programming added icing on the cake, showcasing the channel's diverse offerings. On Saturday, "La Ruleta de la Suerte," hosted by Jorge Fernández and Laura Moure, shone brightly with 19.4% of the audience share, distancing itself from its rivals by over 11 points. This light-hearted yet thrilling game show captured the hearts of over 1.3 million average viewers, appealing to families and entertainment seekers alike.

The culinary segment, "Cocina Abierta de Karlos Arguiñano," maintained its empirical strength, leading the morning viewership with a 14.7% share and bringing forth over 645,000 viewers. The chef's charming personality and delicious recipes continue to make this program synonymous with good food and family fun, achieving 1.1 million unique viewers.

Meanwhile, the competitor laSexta made its mark with the film "Jack Reacher," which managed to capture 8.6% of the audience. It gathered, on average, 743,000 viewers, affirming its status as the most-watched program on its channel and securing its place as the leader against traditional rivals.

Antena 3's solid performance on weekends not only reflects its commitment to captivating content but also showcases its ability to adapt and excel within the competitive Spanish television space. The mixture of well-crafted news reporting and engaging entertainment has fortuitously aligned to draw impressive ratings.
