Anker Launches MagGo Power Bank Slim For IPhone

New compact accessory promises convenience and fast charging for iPhone users

Anker has officially unveiled its latest charging accessory, the MagGo Power Bank (5K, Slim), making waves among iPhone users across the US and Canada. This compact power bank, smaller than its predecessor, the MagGo Power Bank (10K, Slim), debuted not long ago but has already drawn significant attention.

The MagGo Power Bank (5K, Slim) is not just another charging device; it’s purposefully built for the iPhone community. Measuring around 102 x 70 x 9 mm and weighing just about 120 grams (or roughly 0.3 pounds), it’s remarkably easy to carry. Available exclusively at the Apple Store, this compact gadget is sold for $49.95 in the US and CA$69.95 up north. Customers can choose from two sleek colors: white and blue.

With 15W Qi2-certified wireless charging capability via its magnetic pad, users can charge their iPhones effortlessly. But what’s more intriguing is its versatility: alongside its wireless charging function, the power bank also features a USB-C port with the capacity to deliver up to 20W output. Although, if you’re intending to charge both the MagGo and another device simultaneously, the speed drops to 12W for the USB-C and 5W for wireless charging.

The feature set doesn’t stop there. This power bank supports pass-through charging, allowing users to recharge the device itself whilst powering another item. It also includes handy LED indicators to keep users informed about battery levels. It's not just clever design; it's practical too!

The rumors about this new device have been floating around for some time. Credible sources across tech forums had hinted at its specifications and release details, leading up to its eventual launch. Even before its official release, images of the charger surfaced on Reddit, showing it coupling seamlessly with the iPhone 16 Pro. A user shared dimensions of the still-unreleased charger, showing it to be 8.8mm thick, which is significantly less than the 14.7mm thickness of the larger version.

Many tech enthusiasts have lauded the MagGo's expected performance. It’s said to have enough power to fully recharge any iPhone model from 0 to 100%, and then some. Users can comfortably expect to have some charge left over after their device is filled up. It’s functional, stylish, and fits snugly on the iPhone with the reassuring strength of the MagSafe attachment, currently boasting what some have described as "noticeably stronger grip than its predecessor."

Available only time will tell how well the MagGo Power Bank fares against competitors. Still, its attractive design and functionality might just make it the go-to wireless charging option for iPhone enthusiasts. With expectations high following the buzz generated from leaks and rumors, Anker’s MagGo Power Bank seems poised to make its mark.
