Animelo Summer Live 2025 Set For Historic 20th Anniversary Celebration

The Animelo Summer Live 2025, dubbed "ThanXX!", is set to be held at the majestic Saitama Super Arena over three days from August 29 to August 31, 2025. This year marks a significant milestone as it celebrates the 20th anniversary of one of the world’s largest anime song live events.

The announcement, made during the "20th Anniversary Animelo Summer Live 2025 Opening Announcement" stage on March 23, unveiled the first wave of 32 performing artists, offering fans a thrilling glimpse into what to expect. The event carries the theme "ThanXX!", with the theme song titled "ONENESS", composed and arranged by Aimi Okai. This particular song has a notable legacy, having served as the theme for the inaugural event in 2005 and being reintroduced for both the 10th and 20th anniversaries.

On the first day, August 29, 2025, a star-studded lineup will grace the stage, headlined by the talented Aimi Okai. This marks her 10th appearance at the festival, returning after a six-year hiatus. Showcasing her contribution to the genre, she continues to resonate with fans through her iconic song "ONENESS" that has become synonymous with the event's spirit.

Joining her will be fellow artists like Aoi Eir, who has participated eight times, and TRUE, who will also make her ninth consecutive appearance, exemplifying the deep-rooted connections these artists have with the festival. Masayoshi Oishi will return for his 8th performance, while the popular group i☆Ris will wow the audience for the 10th time in consecutive years. May'n and fripSide will also be seen again, adding to the nostalgia and excitement of long-time attendees.

On day two, August 30, the legendary JAM Project will headline the event, celebrating their own 25th anniversary. They are well-known for their captivating performances that have often concluded the festival's festivities. Alongside them, GRANRODEO, with a staggering record of 16 appearances, will delight audiences, solidifying their status as crowd favorites.

Other notable artists on day two include TrySail, performing for the 10th consecutive time, and the energetic FLOW, who promises to keep the crowd engaged. Newcomers like Ave Mujica are also set to make an impact, thanks to their recent success and growing fan base.

The festival reaches its climax on August 31, with the powerhouse performer Nana Mizuki leading the festivities. Having been a mainstay since the event's inception, Nana has taken center stage eight times, the most of any artist in the history of Animelo Summer Live. Her performance, coupled with the presence of other veterans like Masami Utada and Konomi Suzuki, is guaranteed to attract crowds.
