Amici 2024 Kicks Off With Talented Contestants Competing Tonight

The long-awaited Serale phase begins with performances and guest stars on Canale 5.

The popular Italian talent show, "Amici 2024," has officially kicked off its Serale phase, bringing together 16 talented contestants ready to compete for the title under the mentorship of seasoned judges and a celebrity host. Tonight's premiere on Canale 5, set for 21:35, will be hosted by the iconic Maria De Filippi, with Amadeus, Elena D’Amario, and Cristiano Malgioglio judging the performances. This year marks the fifth consecutive term for artistic director Stéphane Jarny, who has consistently infused creativity into the show.

As the stage is set for this exciting competition, the 16 entrants are divided into three teams, showcasing a diverse range of skills in singing and dancing. Team Zerbi and Celentano feature singers Antonia, Chiamamifaro, Jacopo Sol, and Vybes, alongside dancers Alessia, Chiara, and Daniele. Meanwhile, Team Cuccarini and Lo includes singers Luk3 and Senza Cri, and dancers Asia and Francesco. Finally, Team Lettieri and Pettinelli combines singers Nicolò and TrigNO with dancers Francesca and Raffaella.

Among the contestants, Antonia, at 19, hails from Naples, having released singles like "Giganti" and "Dove ti trovi tu." Chiamamifaro, 23 years old and originally from Bergamo, has made waves in Milan with her hits "Perchè" and "O.M.G." Meanwhile, Jacopo Sol, 22, a native of San Severo, brings his single "Complici" to the stage. Luk3, 18, from Sant’Agata dei Goti, has garnered attention with tracks such as "Parigi in motorino," "Valentine," and "Piangi." Other noteworthy entrants include Nicolò from Perugia, Senza Cri from Brindisi, and TrigNO from Asti—all currently residing in Milan—who also have compelling musical offerings lined up.

In terms of backgrounds, ballerina Alessia represents Fondi at age 23 and is the recent champion of the WDSF World Championship Solo Latine Female Adult competition as well as the Italian champion in Latin American dance. She has been mentored by Alessandra Celentano, as has 22-year-old Chiara, a neoclassical dancer from Florence, and 18-year-old Daniele, a modern dancer from Aversa. Asia, a 17-year-old hip-hop dancer from Rome, is part of Team Cuccarini and Lo, while Francesco, 24, also excels in neoclassical dance.

Tonight’s episode will feature some exciting performances and guest appearances, traditional highlights of the show. Notable guests include the talented singer Gazzelle, who will perform his song "Da capo a 12" from his recent album "Indi." Actors Sabrina Ferilli and Enrico Borello, along with director Gabriele Mainetti are also slated to participate. Ferilli is promoting her film "La città proibita," directed by Mainetti and released just weeks ago, while Siani, another key guest, is returning to the show after a successful stint.

As audiences tune in, the stakes are high, with eliminations beginning tonight. The first matchups pit Jacopo Sol against Francesco; the latter emerges victorious, leading to the elimination of Asia later in the episode. The second round of challenges sees Chiara triumph over Francesca, while Nicolò wins against Jacopo Sol. A finale battle between Francesca, Raffaella, and TrigNO awaits, promising intense competition and emotional moments.

Ultimately, the excitement surrounding the Serale phase of "Amici 2024" showcases not only talent but also the passion and dedication of each contestant. While the elimination dynamics generate tension, it remains to be seen how far these talented youths can go. With iconic judges and engaging guests adding to the spectacle, viewers will be captivated tonight as they witness the art of performance unfold live.

In a surprising twist, as they learn the first elimination, contestants are bracing for a rollercoaster of emotions in the upcoming episodes. Maria De Filippi even proposes to Asia an opportunity to return as a professional dancer in future programs, ensuring that her journey in the art of dance isn't over yet. As with every installment of "Amici," the competition sharpens not only skills but also resilience, setting the stage for what promises to be a thrilling series.
