Alexander Revva Revealed As Tsyplenok On Mask

The fifth episode featured unexpected reveals and emotional performances by celebrity contestants.

On March 9, 2025, the fifth episode of the sixth season of the popular show Mask aired on the NTV channel, delivering surprises and captivating performances from celebrities donning elaborate costumes. This week’s episode saw the competition heat up as contestants, including Tsyplenok, Bogomol, and Vozhd, were nominated for mask removal.

After a suspenseful audience vote, Vozhd was saved, leaving the jury with the task of deciding which contestant would unmask next. Their decision fell on Tsyplenok, who turned out to be none other than humorist and television presenter Alexander Revva. The unexpected reveal took the jury completely by surprise, as none of them had guessed Revva was performing.

Since its premiere on February 9, 2025, the sixth season of Mask has become known for its engaging format, where stars of the Russian stage perform incognito, hidden behind whimsical and often elaborate costumes. The jury, comprising notable figures such as Filipp Kirkorov, Valeria, Timur Rodriguez, and Regina Todorenko, attempts to deduce the identities of the performers based on their vocal performances and various clues provided each week.

During the latest episode, which was themed around March 8th celebrations, the jury chairs were occupied by guests Sevil, known as the Enot from the fifth season, and Marina Kravets, also a past contestant. Their presence added to the excitement and variety of opinions on the performances.

This week, the performances were energetic and diverse. Tsyplenok, who was nominated for the second consecutive episode, performed the lively song “Letet” by the band Amega. His performance was described as exhilarating, showcasing his talent and dramatic flair—he literally soared during his act, captivating audience members and judges alike.

Sevil enthusiastically remarked, “I have goosebumps! I feel like there's some big and funny person inside the costume, someone who embodies childhood, but is actually seen as a sex symbol.” Meanwhile, Marina Kravets speculated about Tsyplenok's identity, mentioning possible connections to humor, hinting he could be Vadim Galygin.

Despite favorable feedback from the jury, Tsyplenok humorously disclosed, “alright, I confess. I’m no Oleg Miami; I am Nikita from Syktyvkar.” This light-hearted interaction, coupled with the high-energy performance, helped him stand out.

On the other hand, Bogomol faced challenges again, finding himself nominated for elimination for the second time. After several compelling performances, the jury believed he to be Olga Seryabkina and expressed their confidence he would reach the finale of the show. His heartfelt rendition of Joe Cocker's “You Are So Beautiful” left Sevil misty-eyed, deeply affected by the emotive performance.

After much deliberation, the jury concluded they were not ready to unmask Vozhd, who was also nominated, opting instead to keep his true identity hidden for another week. The voting process bore the weight of each contestant's fate: viewers saved Vozhd with 45% of the audience votes, leaving Tsyplenok and Bogomol against each other for jury decision.

Filipp Kirkorov, reflecting on the nominations, expressed his thoughts, stating, “Bogomol has more appeal to me,” leading to the jury's decision for Tsyplenok to take off his mask. After much anticipation, Tsypenok's identity was revealed, shocking everyone when Alexander Revva emerged, causing gasps from the audience and jury alike.

Krivorot offered commentary on the reveal, remarking, “It was simply incredible! I forgot I was supposed to be guessing; I was just enjoying the performance!” With greater clarity about the connections made between contestants and their performances, he solidified the evening as one to be remembered.

Post-reveal, Alexander Revva shared, “Just incredible day. I was supposed to leave today or at the finale because on March 8, 16 years ago, Artur Pirozhkov was born.” His playful acknowledgment of his timing underlined the sentimental value of his departure.

Following the latest episode, Mask continues with ten remaining contestants, including Bogomol, Bokser, Byk, Vozhd, Dalmatin, Ogurchik, Okun, Sokol, Straus, and Utka. Fans eagerly anticipate the next installment, set to air on March 16, 2025, where they will witness even more thrill and drama.

This captivating season not only offers entertainment but also explores the artistry of performance under disguise, challenging both contestants and viewers with intriguing clues and delightful surprises.

Indeed, Mask continues to provide much more than just mystery; it presents stories of talent and emotion, connecting artists and audiences through the veil of creativity.
