Aldar Achieves Significant Milestone in Job Creation for UAE Nationals

Leading real estate developer Aldar has proudly announced the fulfillment of its NAFIS target aimed at creating 1,000 jobs for UAE nationals. Established under the federal initiative as part of 'Projects of the 50', Aldar reached this milestone two years earlier than planned by hiring 1,060 Emiratis within three years.

Talal Al Dhiyebi, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Aldar, expressed pride in the company's efforts, stating, "We are proud to be at the forefront of advancing the government's vision to increase the competitiveness of Emirati talent and enable them to take on pivotal roles in the private sector." He emphasized the company’s dedication to fostering local talent and building the future leaders of the nation.

More than half of Aldar's executive leadership team comprises UAE nationals, with Emiratis holding 35% of senior management roles. This is part of Aldar's commitment to making the workplace reflective of the local talent pool and empowers their capabilities within the company.

Bayan Al Hosani, the Group Chief People and Communications Officer, noted, "Guided by the wise vision of our leaders, we developed a comprehensive, results-driven Emiratisation strategy." This strategy emphasizes the importance of attracting, developing, and retaining Emirati talent, providing them with numerous career paths and development opportunities.

The company has particularly focused on hiring young Emiratis, with over 62% of their Emirati workforce under the age of 35. This dedication to youth reflects Aldar’s broader goals of encouraging innovation and creativity within the organization.

Aldar’s various development programs include the Future Talent Programme, which guides graduates through 12 months of training, and the Aldar High Potential Programme, aimed at nurturing exceptional talent. These initiatives underline Aldar's commitment to the sustainable development of its workforce.

The successful implementation of these initiatives was highlighted when Aldar received recognition at the 2023 NAFIS Awards, where it was named one of the best private sector employers of UAE nationals.

With its growing reputation as one of the UAE’s largest private-sector employers of local talent, Aldar’s strategic focus on Emiratisation not only supports the company’s operational needs but also aligns closely with the government’s objectives of enhancing local employment opportunities.

Aldar’s commitment also extends to its significant investment sectors, managing assets diversified across retail, residential, commercial, logistics, and hospitality segments, indicating a comprehensive approach to business and workforce development.

Aldar’s continued efforts showcase how private entities can play pivotal roles in government initiatives, fueling the local economy, increasing Emirati participation, and asserting the importance of home-grown talent within major industries.
