Ajith Kumar's Good Bad Ugly Set For Grand Release

Fans eagerly await Ajith's return in action-packed film with strong advance bookings

Ajith Kumar’s much-anticipated film Good Bad Ugly, directed by Adhik Ravichandran, is all set for a grand theatrical release tomorrow, April 10, 2025. The film has been produced on a massive scale, with music composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar. Following their collaboration in Vidaamuyarchi, Trisha once again shares screen space with Ajith, increasing expectations among fans. The film promises a unique blend of action, style, and commercial entertainment.

Even before its release, the film has seen phenomenal traction in pre-bookings. As per the trade report from Cine Ulagam, Good Bad Ugly has already raked in over Rs 28 crore worldwide through advance bookings alone for the opening day. With the Tamil New Year weekend ahead, theatres are expected to be jam-packed, and ticket sales are continuing to soar. The excitement among fans is palpable, and many shows have already been declared sold out.

With the release just a day away, trade analysts are closely watching the film’s box office potential. Predictions suggest that Good Bad Ugly could open to record-breaking numbers, with first-day collections in Tamil Nadu alone expected to gross over Rs 30 crore. Given the long holiday weekend, industry insiders believe the film could become one of Ajith’s top openers. All eyes are now on April 10 to see how big this action entertainer storms the box office.

The star-studded cast also features Sunil, Arjun Das, Prasanna, Priya Varrier, Jackie Shroff, Sayaji Shinde, Tinnu Anand, and Usha Uthup in pivotal roles. With such a dynamic ensemble and Adhik’s flair for commercial storytelling, Good Bad Ugly has generated tremendous pre-release buzz. The combination of Ajith’s mass appeal and Adhik’s youthful, high-energy direction has raised expectations, especially among the younger audience. Fans are eager to witness Ajith in a power-packed, multi-shaded role.

Ajith’s latest action drama, Good Bad Ugly, is being released in theaters tomorrow. The film’s teaser created a huge craze among audiences, and the trade expected it to be a massive comeback film for the star. However, advance bookings are strong in Tamil Nadu but weak in other states. While the teaser received a roaring response, the recently released trailer fell flat, and the songs also did not work that great. Because of these reasons, the film is trending like a regular Ajith film in advance bookings.

In Tamil Nadu, the movie is carrying over Rs 14 crore in pre-bookings for opening day, and it is set for Ajith’s career’s biggest opening with over Rs 30 crore gross. However, in Karnataka, Kerala, and Telugu states, the advance bookings are very low, and all the rest of India’s territories’ advances are just at Rs 2 crore. With this, the total all-India advance sales are at Rs 16 crore, while the overseas number is at Rs 4 crore, bringing total advance sales for the film to Rs 20 crore. Looking at the trend, the trade expects Good Bad Ugly to take around Rs 50 crore at the box office on day one, which is not very high as Vidaamuyarchi itself opened with a similar kind of start. Good or positive word-of-mouth may be able to bring big numbers at the box office for the film.

Ajith Kumar's much-awaited movie, Good Bad Ugly, has been released in theaters. Last night, the premiere of the action entertainer was held in foreign countries. Apart from Ajith, Good Bad Ugly boasts a stellar cast including Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Das, Sunil, Jackie Shroff, Sayaji Shinde, Tinnu Anand, Priya Prakash Varrier, Prabhu, Prasanna, Yogi Babu, Raghu Ram, Redin Kingsley, Rahul Dev, Usha Uthup, and Shine Tom Chacko. Ajith's fans and the audience who watched the first show shared their reviews on social media.

Ajith Kumar’s highly anticipated action-drama thriller, Good Bad Ugly (GBU), directed by Adhik Ravichandran, is scheduled for a grand theatrical release on April 10, 2025. Trisha Krishnan plays the female lead in this power-packed entertainer. The filmmakers have confirmed that the movie has completed its censor board formalities and received a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The confirmed runtime is 2 hours and 19 minutes (139 minutes), offering a concise and thrilling cinematic experience.

As part of the censor process, the CBFC objected to certain scenes. Approximately two minutes of the film were edited, including the removal of e-cigarette scenes, which were replaced with close-up shots and supported by disclaimers. Moreover, old songs and video clips featured in the film were trimmed, and the team was asked to provide No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for these inclusions. Certain dialogues, gestures, and scenes deemed inappropriate were either muted or altered as per guidelines to improve the overall audience experience.

The film also features Arjun Das in a prominent negative role, with Priya Prakash Varrier, Simran, Sunil, and Jackie Shroff in key supporting roles. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the movie’s music has been composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar. Good Bad Ugly will be released in Tamil, along with its dubbed versions in Telugu and Hindi, expanding its reach across multiple regions.

In terms of audience reception, early reviews indicate that Good Bad Ugly is an out-and-out mass entertainer designed as a tribute to Ajith's star power. The film starts off strong with a gripping first half filled with high-energy action sequences and nostalgic references that will delight Ajith fans. However, the second half, despite a promising start with a flashback sequence, loses momentum. The storyline lacks depth and emotional weight, making it reliant on high-voltage action and build-up sequences.

While some mass moments work well, others feel stretched and repetitive. The film could have benefited from tighter editing, especially towards the climax. GV Prakash Kumar's background score complements the film's tone but falls short of maximizing the impact in crucial scenes. The cinematography by Abinandhan Ramanujam is visually appealing, and the production values are commendable, as per the viewers who watched the movie in international centers.

Overall, Good Bad Ugly marks Ajith Kumar's return to the big screen and has generated significant buzz among fans and critics alike. With its grand release, the film is poised to make a substantial impact at the box office, especially during this festive season.
