Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have officially announced Ajinkya Rahane as the team's captain for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season, with Venkatesh Iyer appointed as vice-captain. Venkatesh Iyer, who became the third most expensive Indian player during the IPL mega auction at Rs 23.75 crore, will support Rahane as the vice-captain. Iyer was previously released and later repurchased, reflecting KKR's trust in his leadership qualities and performance.
